Hugh O'Reilly, Founder and Managing Partner. Hugh has spent the past 17 years guiding companies through complex transactions, both as a legal advisor and as a business executive. This wide-ranging experience gives him a real-world understanding of what it takes to manage an operation every day in addition to his understanding of how to get the deal done. From the recovery period of the late 1980's through the heady days of the late 1990's, Hugh practiced corporate law with Nutter, McClennen & Fish LLP, a firm of over 150 lawyers based in Boston, becoming an equity partner in 1998. During those years, he specialized in mergers, acquisitions, capital raising and similar complex transactions, mostly for pre-public companies, closing scores of transactions totaling $½ billion. In 2000, he left private law practice to assume management roles within two sister businesses: a systems integration firm, where he was Chief Financial Officer as well as General Counsel; and a software developer, where he was General Counsel. Over the next three years, he: Led the sale of the software developer to a publicly-traded U.K. company in 2001 Oversaw the growth of the systems integrator from $3 million in sales in 2000 to $9 million in 2001 Led the sale of the systems integrator in December 2001 to SANZ Inc. (OTC: SANZ), a publicly traded competitor, where he assumed the role of CFO and oversaw growth to $33 million in 2002 Led SANZ' acquisition of a larger competitor, StorNet Solutions, in early 2003 Following the StorNet Solutions acquisition, continued as both CFO and General Counsel, with responsibility for financial management, SEC reporting, human resources, legal requirements and general administration for a $60 million public company, until his departure in 2004. Hugh assists Agincourt clients on a full range of projects, but most significantly in the areas of structuring and negotiating capital raises, acquisitions and company sales, strategy planning, and development of business plans and financial projections for early-stage companies.
