Originally a trumpet player, Trevor switched to the trombone at the age of 16 and studied with the late Christopher Davenport (LSO) while doing his A levels. He gained a Graduate Diploma in Music at Colchester Institute, School of Music, where he studied Trombone with Anthony Parsons (BBCSO) and Michael Clack. After graduating he trained as a secondary music teacher at Bath College of Higher Education, now Bath Spa University, under the guidance of Professor George Odam... He has over twenty five years experience in secondary schools, teaching music including GCSE and A level and has managed departments in four schools, the last as Head of Performing Arts faculty. Trevor has also been a mentor for the Graduate Teacher Training Programme and the Open University PGCE course.
