Amy joined Carter Financial Management in 2019 as Executive Assistant to Bill Carter. She has been in financial services for more than 20 years, and supports team members with scheduling, communications, continuing education and licensing in addition to serving as administrator for the Carter Financial Management Scholarship Program for college-bound students. Prior to joining CFM, Amy was a licensed Associate Financial Representative with Northwestern Mutual, servicing client insurance and investment needs. She previously worked as a Relationship Manager with Envestnet, Inc., serving as a liaison between advisors and financial custodians. Education Amy attended the University of North Texas, where she obtained her Bachelor of Business Administration. She majored in marketing, with concentrations in finance and business management. Personal Amy lives in McKinney, Texas and has been married to her husband, Rick, for over 30 years. She loves spending time with her two grown daughters, their husbands, and her two granddaughters. She enjoys decorating, gardening, sailing and walking their two chocolate labs.

Becky Bell

Becky joined Carter Financial Management originally in 1985 and returned in 2017 as President. She has been a CFP® professional for over 30 years and has focused her career on helping companies build successful, customer-focused businesses. She has special expertise in financial planning, insurance and mortgage strategies for the retirement marketplace. A respected leader with a broad functional background in marketing, product development, sales management and operational efficiency, Becky most enjoys building the special relationships that allow her to be a valued partner to her clients and associates. She has been a featured speaker at industry events and is a strong advocate for creative thought in addressing the goals and needs of an aging population. Prior to rejoining CFM, Becky served in leadership roles with companies including GE, MetLife, Genworth, and Longbridge Financial.

Bill Carter

Bill Carter founded Carter Financial Management in 1976. The firm has grown to include a full suite of experienced financial planning professionals managing over $1 billion in assets. Dedicated to client service and professional excellence, Bill puts his deep knowledge of tax, investment and estate planning to work in helping clients define and reach their financial and life goals. In addition to building his company into a financial planning thought leader, Bill has been instrumental in defining the practice and national professional standards of personal financial planning. He has served as Chairman of the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards (CFPB), the International Association of Financial Planning (IAFP), and the Foundation for Financial Planning (FFP). Bill has been quoted in publications including The New York Times, Money Magazine, USA Today, The Wall Street Journal and The Dallas Morning News, among others. He has also been interviewed on numerous television and radio programs.

Bob Berg

Bob joined Carter Financial Management in 1988 after a 20-year career in executive financial management. He and his son, Joel C. Berg, CFP®, work together specializing in the needs of the corporate executives, business owners and individuals planning for or living in retirement. Bob is currently serving as a member of the Dallas Diocese Education Endowment Trust and is Chairman of its Investment Committee. He is a retired board member of The Catholic Foundation of Dallas. Bob served as past president and chairman of the board for the Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter of the International Association for Financial Planning (IAFP), at the time the largest association of financial planners in the country. He has also served on the board of the Dallas Chapter of The Institute for Certified Financial Planners. As a strong supporter of financial literacy, Bob has presented continuing education workshops including Asset Allocation and Portfolio Management, The Basics of Financial Planning and Small Business Planning.

Chris Kotch

Chris began his career as a financial advisor at Edward Jones. He has also spent time at a local Fidelity Investments branch and an independent wealth management firm, where he earned the CFP® certification. He currently assists the Financial Planners of Carter Advisory Services as they develop reviews of clients' formal financial plans. Education Chris attended Oklahoma State University, where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration in both Management and Marketing. Personal Chris grew up in Keller, Texas and currently lives in Dallas. In his free time, he enjoys exercising, baseball, and spending time with friends and family.

Chris Peay

Chris manages the information technology and data stores for Carter Financial Management's locations. He is also chairman of the CFM Technology and Contingency Plan Committee. Education Chris holds an MBA from Keller School of Management and graduated summa cum laude from DeVry University with a degree in telecommunications management. Personal In his personal time, Chris enjoys mountain biking and spending time with his children. He is involved in his local community and church and is also a soccer coach for the Youth Cross Roads Christian Sports League.

Cullen Ferguson

Before joining CFM, Cullen worked as a Financial Planning Analyst at Ameriprise Financial Services LLC where he gained experience working with clients and understanding their unique needs. Daryl supports Kathy Muldoon's team and has 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. As a seasoned specialist, he has worked primarily with key executives and high net worth individuals. Daryl has extensive experience with trading, new accounts, compliance, money movement, IRA Rollovers, new client onboarding and helping cultivate client relationships. He assists with daily client interaction and any supporting activities to ensure excellent customer service is provided. With over 30 years of experience in financial planning, banking, and public accounting, JoAnne joined Carter Advisory Services in 1993 after successful careers at Ernst & Young and Bank of America. Her technical expertise is invaluable to the clients of Carter Advisory Services. Education After earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, majoring in accounting, from the University of Dayton, JoAnne earned a Master of Science in Management and Administrative Sciences, with a concentration in Finance, from the University of Texas at Dallas. Recognizing that health is an integral component of wealth, JoAnne also holds a master's degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and is a licensed acupuncturist, herbalist, and Doctor of Oriental Medicine.

Joel C. Berg

Joel and his father, Bob Berg CFP®, team to offer their clients sound advice in areas such as business and personal insurance needs, retirement income planning, investment planning and personal financial planning. Their relationships with professionals in every area of personal and business finance allow them to provide a comprehensive range of sound professional advice. Joel serves on the Carter Financial Management Team and co-chairs Carter Education Partners. Prior to CFM, Joel spent 13 years with GEICO insurance, where he trained and managed teams and worked directly with customers and vendors in all aspects of the company.

Jonathan Meaney

Jonathan is a straightforward, consultative planner with an ability to bring balance between the analytical and emotional aspects of his clients' finances. He is a trusted advisor to executives, professionals, and entrepreneurs. Jonathan joined Carter Financial Management in 2006 and serves on the Management Team. Prior to joining CFM, he worked at Southwest Securities as a financial advisor and assistant branch manager for the private Client Group office in Dallas. Jonathan served as President & Chairman of the DFW Financial Planning Association following several years on the board in various capacities. He served on the Dallas Estate Planning Council's Board of Governors, the Dallas Regional Chamber of Commerce's Economic Policy Committee and the Dallas Regional Chamber Small Business Advisory Council. In the local community, Jonathan served on the board of the Low Birth Weight Development Center and supports the North Texas Food Bank, the Wounded Warrior Project and the American Red Cross among various other interests.

Joseph Meylor

Joe assists the Financial Planners of Carter Advisory Services as they develop reviews of clients' formal financial plans - a key element of helping clients identify and achieve their financial goals. Education Joe received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in December of 2015. He earned the CFP® designation in 2019. Kathy Muldoon

As Carter Financial Management's receptionist, Leslie's primary goal is to welcome and care for each guest in the Dallas office, where she creates a positive experience for all who enter. Leslie retired from Benchmark Electronics after twenty-one years as the accounts payable manager for several domestic and foreign divisions. She was also liaison to the corporate, legal, HR and IT teams. Her duties involved managing and training staff, travel coordination and monthly general ledger accounts.
