Anna joins us straight from completing A-Levels at The Ladies' College. Anna spent the summer travelling around Thailand, Madagascar and Mauritius, before heading back to Guernsey to start her career with DLM. Anna impressed us all during her two week placement and even was persuaded to come back for more. Anna will be working at DLM whilst also studying for the Construction and Built Environment qualification at the College of FE. David Radford said, "We are delighted Anna has joined the team. Anna's natural talent and flair really shone through during her work placement. Anna joins DLM at time when we have a number of large and exciting projects, so we look forward to her starting her architectural career with us."

DLM Architects welcomed Daisy to the team at the beginning of 2018. Having achieved her HNC with Distinction in Construction and the Built Environment with the College of Further Education, Daisy has also gained over 8 years' experience working at other local architectural practices. Daisy has always had an enthusiastic interest in the industry, and throughout the years has worked on a wide variety of projects ranging from residential extension and refurbishment, to new builds and larger developments. With a keen knowledge in 3D modelling software, Daisy enjoys producing detailed conceptual visuals which she believes are essential in supporting the understanding and progression of complex projects.

David established DLM Architects in 2011 and is proud to be one of the few Chartered Architecture practices in Guernsey. He is a member of the RIBA, the ARB, a council member of the GSA. In 2003 he graduated from Kingston University with First Class Honours and was awarded runner up in the prestigious international RIBA Presidents Medal, before returning to Guernsey to work on various projects at a local chartered architecture practice. David received Distinction for RIBA Part 2 at London Metropolitan University and once again shortlisted for the RIBA Presidents Medal. During this time he assisted in the successful submission of several international competitions, including the Norwegian Concert Hall and State Library in Bodo. In 2009 David achieved Chartered status with a Distinction in RIBA Part 3 delivering a £20m commercial sports centre as lead project architect. David's work aspires to push architectural boundaries and challenge tradition, driven by quality and detail. He explores ways to integrate sustainable architecture with the use of natural, reclaimed and conventional materials utilising progressive fabrication techniques. He drives the practice's ethos to enhance our built environment whilst respecting the impact it has on our planet and beautiful Island.
David Radford joined in October 2019. Having achieved his HNC in Construction and the Built Environment with the College of Further Education, David now has over 16 years' experience in the architectural industry working on a wide range of projects from residential extensions & alterations, new builds, large developments and complex commercial projects. David enjoys the technical design aspect of projects, which entails working closely with clients, Building Control and Contractors throughout the detailed design, tendering and construction processes. David's technical knowledge and understanding of the complex Building Regulations ensure all our projects are robustly designed to the highest standards.

Emily joined the team in May 2018, working part time. Her primary role is to organise and support the team in all marketing, financial, administrative and general office management matters, as well ensuring office caffeine and biscuit quotas are maintained at satisfactory levels.

At the beginning of 2016, James joined the team at DLM Architects. Having graduated from the University of Plymouth in 2010 and acquiring RIBA Part 1, James returned to the island to acquire some professional experience in the Architectural field. Following a placement with one of the island's largest contractors and 4 years with another local architectural practice, James attained Chartered Membership with CIAT in 2015. From a young age, James has always been keen on being involved within the world of architecture, fortified by his various travels around the world from North America to Japan. A large interest in computer technology led to his particular enthusiasm for 3D modelling and digital design, in which he takes pride in producing quality and accurate visuals, whilst constantly refining his process, in order to help clients, contractors and planners better understand design proposals. With an enthusiastic and friendly approach, James strives to continue developing his knowledge and skill within the field.
Matthew joined DLM in the summer of 2021, having spent the prior year helping to refurbish a yacht and sailing the dense jungle coastline of Panama. Matthew received First Class Honours for his RIBA Part I studies in Architecture at the University of Plymouth, where he was awarded the RIBA Bronze President's Medal Nomination for his final design project in 2017. Matthew undertook his first year in the industry at a large award-winning Architectural practice in London, working on a diverse range of projects including multiple high profile residential and commercial redevelopments and competition entries in important historic landscapes. Much of Matthew's enthusiasm for design has evolved from an interest in the history of places, buildings and objects, strengthened whilst working at a Fine Art Auction House, specialising as a cataloguer and consultant of tribal art and curiosities. Alongside general design work, Matthew is assisting DLM on the path to becoming a fully sustainable design practice. Outside the studio, you're likely to find Matthew in the sea, hunting for wind and waves, as a keen surfer and windsurfer.

- Part I Architectural Assistant
Ollie is passionate about design and loves to solve problems in a creative way. In his free time Ollie loves to be outside spending time with friends and family. Ollie wanted to work for DLM as they take a modern and sustainable approach towards architecture, breathing a breath of fresh air to Guernsey's architecture scene. He is excited to continue his architectural education alongside such a knowledgeable team.
Simon is a Chartered Architect with over 20 years post qualification experience, he is a member of the RIBA and ARB and has been a council member of the GSA for many years. Simon has worked on a number of high profile local and national award-winning projects on the island, a particular highlight being a category winner of the RIBA Downland Prize in 2004. With considerable experience of working on historic building restorations and refurbishments, as well as designing highly contemporary new build homes and extensions, Simon's particular interest is in breathing new life into old buildings by blending contemporary with historic. He has a strong belief in working to true sustainability principles, working closely with enlightened clients to ensure their wishes are realised to their best potential, with the least environmental impact. He is one of the first architects in the island to have designed and built projects using Strawbales, Hemplime, unfired clay and Cross-Laminated timber, amongst others, and is always looking for ways to marry natural materials with modern methods of construction to create healthy, harmonious and contemporary environments, fit for 21st Century living.
Sophie joined the team in July 2021. After secondary school, Sophie went on to study at the College of Further Education where she achieved a Diploma in Office Administration. As part of her role, she helps out with the day to day running of the office. In her free time, she is a keen amateur photographer and she likes to spend time with her friends and family.
