Reading Books will be changed on a Tuesday and Friday each week. The children read every day as part of their Ready Steady Read sessions, and read with an adult once per week in school. Please make sure you comment in your child's reading log once they have read at home. We would recommend you read with your child every day to support their developing reading skills as much as possible. It really does have a huge impact on their learning in all areas of the curriculum.
By the time they reach Team 5, children are expected to know their times tables and related division acts up to 12x12. As part of their homework, children are expected to be practising their tables on a daily basis until they can quickly recall all of their tables facts. To aid this practise your child has been given a FREE subscription to Times Tables RockStars. Tables have been individually set for each child. If you find that you child's tables are either too easy or too difficult, please let a staff member in Team 5 know. Children in Team 5 should be accessing Times Tables Rockstars for at least 30 minutes per week.
