We are an every day American family. We learned to work by the sweat of our brow and with the work of our hands. All of us grew up in the Midwest. With midwestern values. For the Ingersoll side of the family it began in the heartland of Northern Missouri. Eventually our grand father John Wesley Ingersoll it began when he moved to Quincy, IL from just across the Mississippi River in Palmyra, Missouri where he was born January 5, 1886. The oldest of 6 children born to Clarence and Aletha (Leake) Ingersoll. In 1907 our grandfather married Nettie Rose Dasbach. In 1908 their first of what would be nine children was born, Clarence Wesley Ingersoll. Throughout the Pre-World War I era and during the "Great Depression" the family was very poor. As the years went by most of the children dropped out of school to help with everyday living and in many cases helped to support the family...
