Dawn Stimple

Dawn Stimple, our Family Service Director, will help you with everything from pre-planning your services to the follow-up and aftercare that we provide to each family we work with. She is also our office manager. Dawn and her husband, Rob live in Hallam; they have 3 children and 2 grandchildren. She is involved in her community. She is the Village's Deputy Director and Emergency Manager and holds a seat on the Cemetery Board. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, playing cards with friends, spoiling her dogs, and storm spotting.

Joseph Seger

Joseph was born and raised in Atkinson, NE and graduated from West Holt High School in 2020. Joseph is currently studying Mortuary Science through Des Moines Area Community College online. He enjoys golfing, Husker football, and boating with friends and family.

Paul Seger

Paul was raised in Atkinson, Nebraska and graduated in 2005 from West Holt High School. He later went to Nebraska Wesleyan University where he played football and graduated in 2009 with his degree in Business Administration. He then graduated from Mortuary School in Kansas City in 2010. Paul is a 4th generation licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer and has worked in the Lincoln area since 2010. In 2013 he partnered with Scot Dewitt as a co-owner at Lincoln Family Funeral Care. In 2015 Paul and Scot acquired what is now Colonial Chapel Funeral Home where they have successfully been serving families. Paul married his wife, Morgan, in April of 2015. In 2019 Morgan and Paul welcomed their first child, Mila. They have two miniature boxers, Bella and Sage. In his free time, Paul uses his private pilot's license to fly anywhere he desires. He also enjoys watching Husker football, staying active and being outdoors with family and friends. He is a member of Sheridan Lutheran Church.

Scot DeWitt

Raised in Hastings, Nebraska and graduated from Adams Central High School in 1987. Scot attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln where he majored in applied science and graduated from the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science in 1991. Scot has been a licensed funeral director for over twenty years. Scot co-founded DeWitt Funeral Home and Cremation Services in 2004. It has always been Scot's mission to offer superior and affordable funeral care to all families. Scot believes in giving back to the community. He is a member of First Plymouth church, LIBA, ELBA, and the Chamber of Commerce.

Shelby Boston

Shelby graduated from Crete High School in 2016. She attended UNL majoring in Education and Human Sciences in 2021. She is currently studying Mortuary Science through DMACC. She enjoys racing, working out, and spending time with her family.
