Amy Zupon - CEO

Amy is a veteran software and data solutions executive, having spent two decades in senior leadership roles in the B2B software industry. After beginning her career as a senior consultant at Deloitte, she spent nearly 10 years as a partner at The Structure Group, an IT services consultancy acquired by Accenture in 2015. At Ventyx, an ABB Enterprise Software company, Amy served as EVP, Global Client Services and SVP and General Manager of enterprise solutions. Prior to joining Vertafore, she spent four years in the C-suite at P2 Energy Solutions, the largest software and technology provider to the upstream oil and gas industry, first as CTO, then COO and finally as CEO.

Cassidy Smirnow

Having spent her entire career in the software business, Cassidy knows the vital importance of leveraging the customer's voice to drive innovation and exceptional service delivery. With a proven track record of improving customer retention and enabling teams to provide best-in-class customer experiences, Cassidy's passion is around building customer-first cultures that transform businesses. Prior to joining Vertafore, she spent five years at Four Winds Interactive as VP and Senior VP of Operations and Chief Customer Officer. Previously, she served 10 years at ACS, a Xerox Company, as VP of Business Development and IT and Finance. She earned a BS in Geology from James Madison University.

Danny Redruello

Danny Redruello is Vice President of Carrier and MGA Markets at Vertafore, where he has worked for the last 14 years. Danny began his career in insurance at his father's agency before transitioning to the carrier market. He joined Vertafore after working with carrier technology and has focused his career on marrying technology and insurance processes across industry stakeholders. His management philosophy is to put people first, and he believes that when you put team and people first, they will do great things.

James Thom - SVP

James joined Vertafore in 2017 to lead Corporate Development and Strategy, shepherding the company through major acquisitions and a transition in ownership to Roper Technologies. After 3+ years of steering our growth in that role, he now oversees the Product Management organization as Chief Product Officer. With extensive experience in strategy, technology, and insurance, James and his team are driving Vertafore's leadership position in Insurance Technology. Previously, James was a strategy consultant at McKinsey & Company in its Seattle, New York, and San Francisco offices, supporting companies in developing their strategic visions and executing commercial strategies, with a focus on financial services. James also served in a variety of finance and strategy roles in the telecommunications industry with Telus Communications, a leading Canadian telecommunications company.

Jon Newpol

Having been a General Manager in various analytics businesses for over twenty years, Jon revels in using data driven approaches to developing strategic and associated operational execution plans that align and focus team priorities to drive customer value and market leading business positions. Prior to joining Vertafore, Jon served in several senior executive positions with Thomson Reuters, Truven Health Analytics, and IBM leading business segments in those organizations that supported insurers, government agencies and large employers with a wide variety of decision support, payment integrity, and operational management software products and services. Jon graduated from the University of Georgia with a business degree in Risk Management and Insurance, from The College of William & Mary with an MBA, and from Emory University with an MPH degree in Health Policy and Management. Early in his career, Jon helped start and lead several managed care plans with The Prudential. He was also a senior health care and employee benefit consultant with legacy firms now part of both Mercer and Aon.

Kristin Nease - CHRO

Kristin Nease leads the HR function for Vertafore. After graduating from Montana State University with a BS in Applied Psychology, she joined the automotive industry in a Human Resources function. While working there, she earned her MSA in Human Resources Administration from Central Michigan. She moved to Denver in 2009 to work for DISH Network's Human Resources team and there focused on many functions of HR including employee relations, total rewards, and performance management. She joined Vertafore in October of 2017 as Vice President, Human Resources. In her role at Vertafore, she is responsible for all things people, including talent acquisition, employee development, engagement programs, culture, belonging, diversity & inclusion, internal communications, and total rewards.

Maggie Warren - Chief Legal Officer, SVP

As a dynamic leader in the in-house community, Maggie has brought enthusiasm and vigor to the office of General Counsel. She was named a Top 10 30-Something by the Association of Corporate Counsel in 2020 for her accomplishments throughout her career. She has an extensive background working in the technology industry as in-house counsel. Previously, she was VP, Assistant General Counsel for Vertafore. Prior to joining the team, she was Associate General Counsel with Clarivate Analytics and Thomson Reuters, where she was responsible for privacy and data security compliance, complex commercial transactions, labor and employment, business strategy and product development. Maggie earned her juris doctorate cum laude from Western Michigan University and her undergraduate bachelor of the arts from the University of Colorado. She is licensed and a member of the bar association in Colorado, Michigan, and formerly Virginia.

Rick Fox

Rick is Vice President and Head of Agency Sales at Vertafore, where he leads a national team of sales professionals and plays an integral role in building connections with independent agencies and the technology solutions that drive their success. Rick also hosts the Vertafore Insurance Podcast. Prior to joining Vertafore, Rick served as senior vice president of sales and marketing and chief revenue officer at Agency Revolution before being named president in 2017. He was also a successful independent agency owner, having built this brokerage from scratch and through acquisitions before exiting the business in 2009. Rick is a graduate of the University of Washington and spends his free time with his wife and three teenagers.

Steven Hess

As Vice President of Corporate Development and Strategy, Steven is responsible for shaping Vertafore's overall growth strategy, identifying synergies within the insurance ecosystem, and directing M&A and partnership activities. Prior to joining Vertafore, Steven held senior executive positions at MedAssets and Zelis Healthcare, where he was focused on the development and delivery of products and services that served both the healthcare insurance and provider markets. Earlier in his career, Steven held a variety of positions spanning finance, marketing and product development for early-stage technology companies and private equity-backed services organizations.
