RIANA VAN COLLER

Riana van Coller started her Gong Fu career with Shifu Jurgens Lamprecht in 1997. Riana has travelled to China and the USA on many occasions for further training and to compete in tournaments. She received her Protea colours for Gong Fu in early 2000 with impressive results as an athlete. In 2014 Riana was offered the Chinese name Yu Feng (Jade Phoenix) by Shifu Jurgens. This Chinese name is endorsed by Xuang Wu Wudang Fraternity. She has also been travelling to China more recently to further her studies in Chinese medicine, having a very strong background in the medical field.

Shifu Jurgens

Shifu Jurgens, founder of the South African Traditional & Modern Wushu Institute, has been teaching martial arts since 1985. Before making his final decision to focus on Shaolin in 1996 and then shortly after Wudang and thereafter Modern wushu, Shifu Jurgens had extensive training in various martial arts disciplines and sports such as Judo, Karate and amateur boxing. He also studied a large variety of Gong Fu disciplines with masters from all over the world. Shifu Jurgens is the chairman of the Sanshou (full contact fighting) Committee for the South African Wushu Federation (SAWF) as well as being the Secretary-General of the SA Wushu Federation. He is also the Secretary-General for the Gauteng Provincial Wushu Federation. He serves on the panel of selectors for both Protea and Provincial colours. Shifu Jurgens has been teaching Chinese Martial arts since 1985. He has trained with many masters from various styles over the years. Shifu Jurgens falls directly under credible lineage holding grandmasters.

Tammy Davey

Tammy Davey is a dedicated practitioner of Chinese martial arts since 1995. She was awarded her Protea colours in 2012 and won a silver medal at the 5th Traditional World Wushu Championship that same year. She was selected to accompany the Protea athletes as the manager for the official SA Wushu team that competed in the 6th Traditional World Wushu Championship. In 2011 Tammy was offered Wudang lineage representation and given the Chinese name You Wei Jie by renowned Wudang Grandmaster You Xuan De. Tammy Davey is Shifu Jurgens Lamprecht's most senior student having trained with him longer than any of his other students. Finally it is worth mentioning that Tammy has travelled to China and the USA on numerous occasions for further training in Gong Fu.

WILLEM VAN COLLER

Willem van Coller has been practicing various martial arts styles from a very young age. In the early 90's he found his path through Chinese martial arts and has been training non stop ever since. Willem earned his Protea colours in early 2000 and competed in Baltimore USA, earning himself both silver and bronze medals. Willem was offered lineage representation under the Xuan Wu Wudang style by Grandmaster You Xuan De and received the 16 th generation Chinese name You Wei Kang in 2011. He plays a big role in the development of the sport of Gong Fu in South Africa. Willem has travelled to the USA and China on many occasions to further his own training and knowledge as well as attending numerous international tournaments.
