Alexandre de Almeida Cardoso

Partner in the Labor practice group at TozziniFreire, Alexandre has over 25 years of experience in representing companies with complex and strategic matters, both individually and collectively. He has extensive experience in union negotiations on the most diverse issues, such as union framework, revision of conditions in base date periods, remuneration policies, and corporate restructuring (workforce adaptation, shutdown of business activities, and termination of production branches). He also provides preventive counseling to employers, focusing on labor compliance, social media, confidentiality and non-compete agreements, compensation, as well as benefits. Alexandre also represents companies in disputes related to executive employment contracts and in collective bargaining, including in administrative inquiries and public civil lawsuits filed by the Public Prosecutor's Office.

André Fittipaldi

Partner in the Labor and Social Security practice group at TozziniFreire, André has broad experience in collective bargaining negotiations, legal audits and due diligence, collective litigation, inspections by labor authorities, as well as preparatory procedures and civil investigations instituted by the Regional Labor Prosecutor's Office. He is also a specialist in the social security field and has great expertise in assisting clients in risk analysis of compensation plans, creation of profit sharing plans, stock options and other forms of remuneration, as well as labor health and safety related matters.

Isabela Braga Pompilio

Head of the Litigation practice group at TozziniFreire's Rio de Janeiro and Brasília offices, Isabela is highly recognized and has broad experience in a wide range of complex cases before the Superior Courts. She works on strategic matters before the STJ (Superior Court of Justice), TSE (Superior Electoral Court), and STF (Brazilian Supreme Federal Court), having participated over the last two decades in the monitoring and development of arguments envisaging the establishment of new case-law understandings in civil, consumer, banking, international, and digital law.

Luciana Bazan Martins Bisetti

TozziniFreire's partner in the Litigation practice, Luciana is skilled in strategic cases of different natures, with expertise in matters relating to highly complex consumer relations, civil liability, and class actions. As an expert in the Consumer Affairs area, she handles consumer authorities at all levels, both in administrative procedures and in negotiation of agreements. In legal disputes, Luciana has extensive experience in collective claims, working on hundreds of public civil actions across the country, and in strategic individual claims. Her practice encompasses the most diverse economy sectors, particularly focusing on clients in the telecommunications, technology, retail, payment solutions, automotive, and public service providers industries.

Luiz Virgílio Pimenta Penteado Manente

Luiz assists clients with compliance issues and litigation relating to consumer law. His experience includes the filing of actions, preparation of defenses and appeals, and representing clients in proceedings before the Departments of Consumer Protection, Ministry of Public Prosecution, Special Civil Courts, and Common Justice.

Mihoko Sirley Kimura

Mihoko has extensive experience in creating strategies for hiring and compensating professionals. Well recognized in the labor and social security field, she has developed a leading practice providing companies the full range of assistance in relation to workplace law issues. Mihoko´s expertise comprises strategic advice on issues involving profit-sharing plans, stock options, flexible benefits, variable remuneration, hiring and termination of contracts, prevention of labor and social security liabilities, health and safety matters, labor and employment compliance aspects, data privacy and social media issues, confidentiality and business protection matters including non-compete agreements, and union relationships. She also assists clients in immigration matters, including work visas and regulatory requirements.

TozziniFreire's partner in the Corporate & Foreign Investment and Mergers & Acquisitions practices, Oswaldo has over 20 years of experience in Corporate Law, Corporate Governance and domestic and foreign M&A transactions, focusing on contracts and financing operations in several industries, such as retail, technology, biotechnology, mining, energy, oil & gas and agribusiness. He has wide expertise in international agreements, having worked on legal proceedings and arbitrations in the USA, United Kingdom and Italy. Renata Emery

Renata Emery has been working in the Tax area for over 20 years and has wide experience in litigation, administrative and judicial matters, as well as in consulting and relevant corporate transactions, reorganizations and tax planning. Additionally, her performance in several international projects gives her deep knowledge of International Tax Law. Renata has several articles published and contributed to the update of the 7th and 8th editions of the book Direito Tributário Internacional do Brasil (International Tax Law of Brazil), by professor Alberto Xavier.

Shin Jae Kim

Head of TozziniFreire´s Compliance & Investigation practice group and member of the firm´s Executive Committee, Shin Jae Kim is a pioneer in the development of the Compliance field in Brazil. She is a specialist in the strategic coordination of initiatives that involve relationships with government bodies, crisis management, and corporate investigations across all industries and sectors. She is respected for her leading practice and over 30 years of experience in corporate law, M&A and for advising investors from several different countries in their inbound and outbound investments. Shin is also head of the Asia Practice Group, directly coordinating the Korea Desk. In addition, she chairs and speaks at several forums and international events focused on Anti-corruption, corporate governance and investigations matters. Shin also co-headed the creation of the Latin American Compliance & Investigation League (LACIL), which involves the top Latin America law firms in this practice.
