Amy has two years experience in ecological consultancy and recently obtained her Natural England Great Crested Newt Licence and Hazel Dormouse Licence.
Amy has over 12 years of experience working in the project sector and a degree in Conservation Biology. Before working for EAD, she spent many years working for the public sector setting up project offices and more recently as a project manager for the ambulance service. Amy joined EAD in February 2022 in a new role which focuses on coordination of project work, site surveys, EAD resources and sub-contractors
Amy is completing an MSc in Ecology and has previous experience undertaking botanical and bird surveys. She is currently working towards her Hazel Dormouse licence.
Anna graduated from the University of Exeter in 2022 completing a Master's in Conservation and Biodiversity, and has 2 seasons experience at EAD Ecology. Key skills include:

Analysis and technical survey reports
QGIS mapping
Cassie holds a Masters' degree in Natural Sciences and has 3 years experience working within the environmental and outdoor education sectors and 18 months experience within ecological consultancy.
David has worked in ecological consultancy since 2003. During this time he has undertaken ecological survey and assessment projects across a diverse range of sectors including; residential, highways, pipelines, renewable energy schemes (wind, solar and EfW), minerals and waste management. As a Director at EAD, his role includes managing and delivering projects, liaising with clients, development teams and consultees and provision of strategic guidance to the EAD team with specific responsibilities for mitigation licencing and health and safety .
I moved to EAD Ecology from a consultancy in Exeter as a Senior Ecologist, and have since been promoted to a Director. Career development like this has been the case with a lot of our colleagues, many of whom have had the opportunity to progress from junior roles to Senior Ecologists and beyond. The team here is fantastic, and everyone's expertise is shared across the team. The flexible working hours mean that we have the autonomy to deliver high quality work without this impacting their personal lives and commitments. We regularly meet up outside of work for sociable activities; it's a great environment to be a part of!
David has five years' experience working in the environmental sector, the last three of which have been in ecological consultancy.
Diana has 9 years of experience working and volunteering in the environmental sector and has been working at EAD Ecology since 2016.
Ed graduated with an MSc in biodiversity and conservation last September, and has only recently become involved in ecological consultancy. He has a keen interest in birds and botany, but is excited to gain survey experience with EAD as a whole.
Ed has ten years' experience in the environmental sector, the last eight of which have been in ecological consultancy.
Ellie has over 10 years experience in business administration and team co-ordination. Previous to joining EAD, she has worked in varying sectors including Pharmacy, Health & Social Care and Hospitality & Events. With a keen interest in wildlife and nature; Ellie joined EAD in June 2022 in a newly created role to support Sue & Amy in admin and project co-ordination tasks.

Elliott has worked as an ecological consultant since 2015. He is a Full member of CIEEM and specialises in Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) and HEP assessments.
Emma has 7 years working within the environmental sector and has been working at EAD Ecology since 2017. Project experience covers a wide variety of developments, including large and small-scale housing developments, utilities and pipelines.

Lauren is a full member of CIEEM, and has BSc in Environmental Biology. She has been a professional ecological consultant since 2009, working in a range of sectors, including wind and solar farms, housing developments and pipelines.
Laurie is an ornithologist with 12 years' survey experience. Key Skills:
Ornithological survey including breeding and wintering bird survey, Wetland Bird Survey (WeBS) and cirl bunting surveys.
Extended Phase 1 Habitat and botanical surveys - Field Identification Skills Certificate (FISC) - Level 4
Experience in writing PEAs, EcIAs, LEMPs and CEcoMPs.
Biodiversity Net Gain.
ArcGIS and QGIS mapping.
Holds Natural England class licences for Great Crested Newt and Dormouse.

Leanne has 13 years of experience working and volunteering in the environment sector and has been working for EAD Ecology since 2013. Working on a range of projects including pipelines, small and large scale developments.
Lee has 17 years experience in nature conservation, the last 10 of which have been in ecological consultancy.

Matt is a Chartered Environmentalist and has extensive experience in ecological survey, assessment and design, including for Biodiversity Net Gain and Habitats Regulations Assessment. Matt enjoys the challenges and opportunities of integrating ecological understanding, policy and legislation with the aspirations, demands and creativity of development. He advises predominantly within the residential, utility, renewable-energy and infrastructure sectors, and leads company teams on a diverse range of projects. Matt regularly appears as an Expert Witness on behalf of clients and advises on Design Review Panels within the South West Region.
Meg has 3 years' experience working in the Geospatial Sector, and holds an MSc in Climate Change Science and Management. She joined EAD in May 2023 in a new role which focuses on supporting the team with geospatial analysis and mapping, as well as providing support with ecological survey work. Before joining EAD Meg worked as a Geospatial Analyst with the NHS.
Megan has around 5 years' experience in ecological consultancy.
Patrick has a MSc in Wildlife Biology and Conservation with his dissertation focusing on the effectiveness of river restoration on invertebrate diversity. He has two years' experience in ecological consulting and is currently is working towards great crested newt and dormouse licenses.

Rachel has 9 years of experience working and volunteering in the environmental sector and has been working at EAD Ecology since 2017. She has worked on a range of projects, including small and large-scale residential developments, pipelines and building renovations.

Rebecca has worked in ecological consultancy since 2018, prior to which she was a research intern at Estación Biológica de Doñana in Seville.
Robin has over 10 years' experience working in an ecological field. He joined the EAD team in 2015.
Sue has a wealth of experience working in office administration.
Her journey working in the Ecology consultancy sector started in 2005 and she joined EAD team in 2011. Prior to this, Sue worked for many years as a Barristers Accounts Clerk in Exeter and also as Practice Manager for Solicitors overseas.
Tony is an experienced bat/protected-species ecologist who has worked as an ecological consultant since 2007, and has been at EAD Ecology since 2012. He is a Full member of CIEEM and a Chartered Environmentalist. Project experience covers a wide variety of developments, including wind farms, large and small-scale housing developments, utilities, pipelines and building renovations. Key skills include:
