Alex Rhodes

Alex Rhodes serves as an executive in the global diversity and inclusion organization for Bank of America. In this role, he leads all enterprise external diversity and inclusion partnerships, including research and outreach programs that enhance brand awareness, talent development and business integration for diverse segments of our workplace. Alex currently serves as the enterprise co-lead for the Bank of America LGBT employee network with more than 21,000 members around the globe, and as co-lead for the bank's Central Los Angeles Market President Council. Alex has served in various roles across the bank since joining in 2006. Most recently, he served as a transformation executive with the Consumer, Small Business and Wealth Management team. Alex was responsible for conducting people, process and technology assessments to design and enable strategic transformational change. Prior to joining Bank of America, Alex was a senior manager in the financial services practice at Accenture, a global management consulting company. A native of Dayton, Ohio, Alex graduated from DePauw University, in Greencastle, Indiana with a degree in Economics and Management. Leveraging his degree in economics, Alex proudly served in the White House Office of Management and Budget. Alex resides in Los Angeles, California with his partner of 20 years. In Hollywood, Alex has served on Business Improvement District committees and is an active volunteer tutoring students at the Boys and Girls Club.

Alfredo Mendez

In this newly created role, Mendez provides leadership to build a new capability around talent management, organization assessment and design, employee engagement, team development, change leadership, and diversity & inclusion for the DCS Americas business. His responsibilities included leading organizational assessment/design interventions across SAS' functions and programs, driving strategic change management initiatives in support of business growth goals and enabling business, leader, team, and individual performance Before joining Raytheon, Mendez was a Manager of People and Change Solutions at KPMG, with expertise in organizational design, organizational assessments, change management, strategic communications, and talent development. In addition to client work, Mendez was responsible for building out KPMG's People and Change practice on the West Coast. Prior to KPMG, Mendez held global leadership positions in the Organizational Readiness and Talent Management arenas at Warner Bros. Entertainment and Levi Strauss & Co. Over the course of seven years, he led projects and employees across 20 countries in the Americas, Europe, and Asia. Mendez has extensive knowledge in shared service center migrations, cultural adaptations of organizational effectiveness and change management strategies, and European Labor Laws. Mendez holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA.

Allison G. Wise

Allison Wise is the Diversity and Inclusion Program Director in the Outreach, Diversity and Inclusion Center at the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM). In this capacity, Ms. Wise leads OPM's effort to develop government-wide policies and guidance to assist Federal agencies in building diverse, inclusive and engaged workforces and organizational cultures. Before joining OPM, she was the Director of Diversity and Inclusion at the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) for six years and served as a senior advisor to the NARA executive leadership. Ms. Wise was instrumental in establishing NARA's inaugural D&I Office where she developed the agency's first diversity and inclusion strategic plan and established a comprehensive agency-wide D&I education program that positioned D&I as a mission-critical imperative. While there, Allison was recognized with The Archivist's Award for Outstanding Achievement in Promoting Diversity for leading efforts to improve organizational performance. Ms. Wise also spent twelve years with the Department of Navy serving as an EEO Specialist by providing direction to the Agency's Affirmative Employment and Special Emphasis Programs as well as serving as an EEO complaint's program manager in the Office of Equal Employment Opportunity. Allison's commitment and passion toward building effective D&I programs over the past 25 years are evident in her active participation in the Federal community. She currently facilitates the Diversity & Inclusion Government-wide (DIG) Council and the Hispanic Council on Federal Employment (HCFE) with a focus on developing government-wide policies and practices related to recruiting, hiring, promoting, and retaining a diverse and inclusive workforce. She is also the co-founder of the Federal Interagency Diversity Partnership established in 2007 as a forum to promote increased awareness and collective commitment to D&I through the sharing of best practices among practitioners across the D&I federal community-at-large. Andraya Martin

Andres Gonzalez

Angela Li

Angela Li is the Director of Software Engineering for Boeing Commercial Airplanes. Named to this role in March of 2024, she is responsible for the development, integration, and certification for all software on Boeing Commercial Airplanes. This includes technical oversight of both internal and external software development. Prior to her current role, Angela served as the Director of 737 MAX Development Airplane Systems. Before joining the 737 MAX program, she held several engineering and leadership roles within the Electronic Systems Design Center. She spent much of her time leading the Boeing Flight Management Systems Integration leader as well as Avionics leader for 747, VC-25B, 767, KC-46, and 787 programs. Angela is a graduate of the University of Washington in Seattle, where she received her B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering. She holds the role of Boeing Executive Focal for the University of Washington Electrical and Computer Engineering Department and is a member of their Advisory Board. In addition, Angela is currently the Enterprise President of the Boeing Asian and Pacific Association (BAPA). Anjana Berde

In 2006 she started her own financial services practice in Bellevue with Pacific Capital Resource Group, a holistic financial services firm*. Currently, April is a Vice President at Pacific Capital Resource Group, Inc., an agency of the Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company. She is a Certified Financial Planner, a designation only 20% of advisors have earned. She is the expert eyes for her clients and an advocate for empowerment through education. She heads a Women's Resource Group that reaches the community through educational seminars and speaking events, educating women on making better financial decisions and understanding areas of financial planning that are relevant to their everyday lives. April resides in Kirkland with her husband Jason, daughter Zoe and son Jack. When April isn't working she enjoys snow skiing, golfing, boating, and biking. April meets with clients to review their finances and discuss both their short and long term goals. She will analyze a client's financial situation and determine which strategies could work best to meet their objectives. Barbara E. Miller

She was appointed Director-ODEO after 8 years and is responsible for providing EEO counseling services processes, guidance on problem resolution and program administration for over 2500 civil servants and eligible contractors. Barbara is responsible for managing and monitoring approximately a $1 million budget for ODEO. Barbara Miller provides mental health counseling in her private psychotherapy practice. Bharat Amin

Amin joined Newport News Shipbuilding, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries in December 2014. During Bharat's tenure with the shipyard, he led the Information Technology division through a digital revolution, redefining how we build ships today and for future generations through transformation initiatives such as Integrated Digital Shipbuilding, Digital Innovation Lab and Data Analytics. Prior to that he held various leadership positions at BAE Systems Inc., including Business Technology Officer, Vice President and CIO for BAE Systems' Inc's largest sector. He has sponsored and led number of global and U.S.-wide IT initiatives, to integrate businesses in defense and commercial industries. Brian S. Chase

From 2013 - 2018, Brian previously served as Manager of Strategy, Planning, Communications and Analytics for Chevron Global Diversity and Ombuds where he transformed the organization into a data and analytics-driven function tightly aligned with business unit and enterprise objectives. In 2010, Brian was named Senior Advisor, Chevron Corporation, in representing Chevron on the National Petroleum Council (NPC) Future Transportation Fuels Study for the U.S. Department of Energy. He served as Co-Chair of the Heavy Duty Engines & Vehicles group and Co-Chair of the Natural Gas Infrastructure team working with more than 100 leading companies developing future technology options for transportation fuels. Before this position, Brian was Vice President of Global Lubricants overseeing Chevron's lubricants businesses in Asia Pacific valued at $100M business and supervising a team of 1,200 employees. Brian also served as Vice President, Global Base Oil for Chevron Manufacturing from 2004-2006, where he ran a $500M operation with 200 employees. Brian joined Chevron in 2001 as Regional Manager of ChevronTexaco Lubricants responsible for managing the manufacturing, distribution and sales of products in the southern United States. Prior to his work at Chevron, Brian held positions of increasing responsibility at the Pennzoil Quaker State Company before being named Vice-President, Commercial and Industrial Lubricants Key Accounts in 1999. Brian began his career in oil and gas in 1991 with Dryden Oil (now part of BP/Castrol Lubricants) where he rose to the position of Southeast Region Fleet Sales Manager. Brian served in the U.S. Navy as an Antisubmarine Warfare Officer and Auxiliaries and Electrical Officer. Caroline Choi

Ceah Justice

Cheryl Kern

Prior to her D&I roles, Cheryl held roles of increasing responsibility in sales, general management, supplier diversity and employee engagement for Xerox, International Paper, Amway and Johnson Controls. Her professional experience includes leadership responsibility for customers such as GM, Eaton, Dow Chemical and Ford. Kern has experience in launching new start-up facilities and led minority business development joint venture strategies. A native of Michigan, Kern has been recognized as a Top Diversity Executive in Corporate America by Black Enterprise, is a Champion of Diversity Award recipient, has been honored with the Diversity Salute Award and was named one of 10 Top Global Leaders in Diversity and Inclusion by Diversity Global Magazine. Primary focus was on aircraft carrier propulsion plant repair, maintenance, and testing, until being promoted to foreman, where he supervised submarine ordinance and shafting / steering and diving work. After fulfilling these duties for a few years, Daniel was promoted to aircraft carrier zone manager, focusing in propulsion plants and shafting / rudder repair and maintenance. After completing multiple projects, he eventually moved to the Propulsion and Auxiliary product family, managing the shafting, steering and diving cell. This lead to an interest in LEAN and Six Sigma principles, theory of constraints and change management theory. While advancing knowledge in these interests, Daniel became the Process Improvement Manager for the Inside Shop Product Line (C1060). During this time he completed NAVSEA Six Sigma Black Belt College and obtained the practitioners certificate for the PROCI Change Management Model. Daniel went back to Shop 38 as the shops Work Force Development Director, where he developed the current processes for the shop's workforce and leadership development, as well as hiring and promotion management. In 2020, Daniel was selected as the Machine Shop (Shop 31) Trade Superintendent. During this time, he assisted in leading corporate efforts to improve machine shop capacity and capabilities throughout the organization via Naval Systems Sustainment-Shipyard (NSSSY). Michelle Linares is the Director of National Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity at Kaiser Permanente with nearly 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry. She leads and manages national level strategic projects and consultations to improve workplace fairness, empowerment, and belonging to deliver value-based care. Additionally, Michelle leads the Business Resource Group (BRG) program strategy, activating thousands of employees and clinicians to serve as cultural influencers and multipliers across all Kaiser Permanente markets. Michelle's combined experience in the healthcare industry includes serving as a bilingual health educator, program manager, and implementing various strategic initiatives in health promotion, digital health, quality improvement, culturally responsive care, and workplace development and engagement. She is passionate about empowering people and redesigning systems to achieve optimal health outcomes for all. She re-engineered patient resources to increase digital and health literacy for 4.1 million patients, with a focus on the Hispanic and Latino community. By designing and implementing over three hundred health education resources rooted in equity-centered design, she ensured that patients, clinical staff, physicians, and community partners were all involved in the process. Michelle's commitment to bilingual-Spanish text message campaigns for diabetes, mental health, and healthy living engaged over 10,000 patients and community members within the first year of its launch. Now, Michelle ensures that BRGs serve as cultural advisors to leaders and partners to transform workplace inclusion and culturally responsive care. With an undergraduate degree in health sciences and a minor in Spanish from San José State University, followed by a master's in business administration from National University, Michelle has made great strides in both her education and career. Victoria has over 30 years of experience in the Human Resources domain, spanning a myriad of human resources and manpower management programs in the areas of strategic planning, training and development, and program and project management for joint military and civilian personnel programs. Ms. Bowens is an accomplished diversity and inclusion renowned Thought Leader with over 12 years of advising senior leaders, academia, and industry partners on diversity matters affecting DoD. She published the DoD's first Diversity and Inclusion Strategic Plan in 2012 and the Department of Navy's Diversity Roadmap in 2017.
