Gretna Machine Shop was founded by Jose Benjamin "Benny" Pérez and his wife, Ninfa Pérez. Benny came to the United States from South America in 1967 bringing the kind of hopes, dreams and ambition that so many others bring with them when they arrive in the U.S. seeking the "American Dream." After 15 years of working as a machinist, Benny and his wife decided to venture out on their own. They had a simple goal: to build a successful business based on hard work, honesty and integrity. Benny and Ninfa opened Gretna Machine Shop, Inc., in 1980. They named it after the town in which their daughters were born: Gretna, Louisiana... Gretna is your turnkey, lean manufacturing facility that will deliver your product on-time with the specifications you require.
