Halda was founded in 1887 as the first pocket watch factory in northern Europe. Six years later, Halda won two gold medals at the World Exhibition in Chicago. With our enriched legacy, we are determined to once again put Sweden on the world map in watchmaking... Halda is a Swedish manufacturer of mechanical watches and digital instruments. Founded by Henning Hammarlund in 1887 and resurrected by Mikael Sandström... We create our timepieces out of the material best suited for its intended purpose. Whether it's a NASA certified composite, good old reliable stainless steel, or a groundbreaking new alloy, we strive to ensure as many parts as possible are processed within our facilities and produced in Sweden.
