Abigail Green

Abigail Green devotes her practice to high conflict divorce and custody cases. Abigail represents clients on all dockets in Jefferson Family Courts including circuit, dependency, neglect and abuse, paternity, and domestic violence dockets. Abigail is a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML), a prestigious national organization whose members represent the most recognized family court attorneys across the country. The AAML was established in 1962 and its mission is to provide leadership that promotes the highest degree of professionalism and excellence in the practice of family law. Abigail remains abreast of the most current family court issues, laws, and practices to provide her clients with the best advocacy possible. In addition to her focus on private litigation, Abigail is regularly appointed in circuit cases as a Guardian ad Litem (GAL) advocating for the best interest of children. She is also appointed as a Friend of the Court tasked with making recommendations on behalf of children. Abigail began her litigation career as a staff attorney at the Louisville Metro Public Defender. As a staff attorney, she represented over a thousand adult and juvenile indigent defendants charged with felonies, misdemeanors, DUIs, traffic offenses, status offenses, and contempt of court. She has successfully represented clients in nearly every proceeding in Jefferson District, Circuit, and Family courts and has served as lead counsel in both jury and bench trials. Abigail's extensive litigation knowledge and experience make her a formidable advocate. A Louisville native, Abigail grew up in the Middletown area and attended Sacred Heart Academy where she earned her International Baccalaureate diploma. She graduated from DePauw University in Greencastle, IN with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. She then returned to Louisville to obtain her Juris Doctor from the University of Louisville Louis D. Brandeis School of Law. Abigail is actively involved in the Louisville community. She spent years serving as an attorney appointed for abused and neglected children on the dependency, abuse, and neglect docket. She is a member of the Sacred Heart Academy Alumnae Board, an active member of St. Albert the Great, and serves as an attorney on her neighborhood city council. Previously, Abigail served as the chair and co-chair of the Louisville Bar Association Family Law section, as a Barrister member of the Louis D. Brandeis American Inn of Court, as co-chair of the Alumni Advisory Committee to the Kentucky Alpha Chapter of Pi Beta Phi, and as conflict counsel for the Louisville Metro Public Defender. Abigail is an avid reader and houseplant enthusiast. She resides in Louisville with her husband and son.

Courtney Preston Kellner

Courtney Preston Kellner, a native of Greenup County, Kentucky, has made Louisville her home since 2011. Courtney is a graduate of Raceland-Worthington High School and is a proud alumna of both the University of Louisville and the University of Kentucky, where she obtained her law degree in 2010. She is a member of both the Kentucky Bar Association and the Louisville Bar Association. Courtney focuses her practice on family law. The majority of her representation is concentrated on divorce, custody, and child abuse litigation. She has represented clients in nearly every type of proceeding in Jefferson District, Circuit, and Family courts and prides herself on her litigation knowledge and skill. Courtney has vast experience representing and advocating for children. She is regularly appointed by the Jefferson Family Court bench as a Guardian ad Litem to advocate on behalf of children and as a Friend of the Court to make recommendations that are in a child's best interest. Courtney has served as a panel attorney on the dependency, neglect, and abuse docket since 2015. In 2021, Courtney received the Community Service Alumni Award from the Rosenberg College of Law at the University of Kentucky. Courtney received this award for her work helping to organize pro bono representation for over six hundred protestors charged criminally while working towards racial equality. Additionally, for her work in the protest movement, Courtney appeared in the New York Times. Prior to opening Kellner Green, Courtney worked as a staff attorney with the Louisville Metro Public Defender, representing individuals in all areas of our local judicial system and honing her litigation skills. In addition to her family court practice, Courtney has served as Chancellor to the Kentucky Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church since 2017. In her role as Chancellor, she served on the Executive Committee of UMC3, the Chancellor organization. She has been a guest speaker at the College of Bishop's legal forum. She was selected to serve the global church on the Technology Study Team and Advisory Panel. As a law student, Courtney worked as a law clerk for the firm of McBrayer, McGinnis, Leslie and Kirkland as well as a law clerk to the Hon. Judge Phillip Shepherd in Franklin County Circuit Court. Courtney is particularly proud of her experience clerking for Kentucky Supreme Court Justice Bill Cunningham. Outside of work, Courtney is an active member of the United Methodist Church. She has previously served as an alumni advisor to the Kentucky Alpha Chapter of Pi Beta Phi and was a charter member of the University of Louisville's Political Science Alumni Council. She regularly volunteers in both local and statewide political campaigns. Courtney enjoys all things gardening and canning. She resides with her children and husband, whom she met whilst cheering on her beloved Cardinals in Freedom Hall.

Macauley Campbell

Macauley Campbell has served as lead counsel in almost every type of family law case, including divorce, custody, domestic violence, dependency, neglect and abuse, and adoption. In addition to being known for her litigation experience, Macauley is well known in the legal community as a fierce advocate for children. Macauley is regularly appointed as a Friend of the Court and Guardian ad Litem. Macauley has worked diligently to publicly raise awareness about deficiencies in the state's treatment of children in foster care. Macauley served as chair of the Louisville Bar Association Family Law Section from 2021-2023. In 2022, during her time as chair, the Family Law Section received the award of Section of the Year due to Macauley's organization and hard work. Macauley remains an active member. She is also an active member of the prestigious Louis D. Brandeis American Inn of Court, where she has served as an associate member since 2022. Because of her legal acumen and litigation skills, Macauley has been nominated and selected by her peers as a Kentucky Rising Star for 2022, 2023 and 2024. Macauley is a born and raised Kentuckian. Hailing from Owensboro, Kentucky, Macauley received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky. It was during her undergraduate years that she realized her passion for family law while interning with the Fayette County Family Court. Macauley began working at Kellner Green in 2017 while attending the Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville. Macauley graduated magna cum laude and was in the top of her graduating class. She was admitted to the Kentucky Bar in October of 2019 and immediately began practicing with Kellner Green. Macauley is a certified mediator and skilled in assisting her clients at mediation. Macauley is passionate about her clients and their cases. She works tirelessly to ensure that they receive the best outcome and is excellent at guiding her clients through the Court process.
