Malik's passion for real estate and community development work was cultivated growing up in Baltimore's inner city neighborhoods as the product of single parent home and overcoming the challenges it presented. As a big believer in knowing the difference between real estate and community development, Malik supports comprehensive approaches to revitalizing urban communities that focus less on simple transactions and more on strategies. This passion was exhibited in 1994 when at the age of 18 he worked with the Mayor's Office of Employment Development on a campaign that resulted in employment for 4,000 Baltimore City youth...
