Aoifinn Devitt - Chief Investment Officer

Aoifinn joined London CIV from US-based wealth management firm Moneta, where she was CIO. She has extensive experience in senior investment roles including as head of investment for Ireland at Hermes Fund Managers, and CIO for the Policemen's Annuity and Benefit Fund of Chicago. Recent experience also includes independent adviser roles to four local authority pension funds in the UK, as well as other investment committee positions. Originally from Ireland, Aoifinn spent her early career working in London as an investment banking associate at Goldman Sachs International and a specialist consultant at Cambridge Associates Limited. She also founded Clontarf Capital, a pan-alternatives research and consulting firm. Aoifinn is a licensed attorney, who has been a member of the New York Bar since 1996. She earned her law degrees from Trinity College Dublin and Oxford University. She also earned her MBA from INSEAD in France and MSc in Applied Neuroscience from Kings College London.

Brian Lee - CFO

Brian Lee is the Chief Finance Officer(CFO) of London CIV. Brian is a Chartered Accountant and has been responsible for the management and operation of substantial investment management and fiduciary services businesses including the asset management division of a major bank, a FTSE 250 wealth manager, and a NYSE listed hedge fund and private equity manager. Brian has deep experience in the set up and operation of investment management businesses and has been responsible for the operation and compliance of collective investment schemes under FSMA 2000 since 2005.

Cameron McMullen

Cameron joined London CIV in April 2020. Cameron has previous experience at MJ Hudson Allenbridge (MJHA) and JLT where he has gained significant experience and a strong track record in developing and sustaining key relationships. He is particularly familiar with the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS), and Defined Benefit (DB) Corporate Pension Fund environment, having been involved with a multitude of projects across 20 years' experience in both the public and private sector. He was Head of SWIM which was a manager selection procurement service designed initially for LGPS clients and was latterly offered to the private sector.

Dean Bowden - CEO

Dean Bowden was appointed as Chief Executive of London CIV in December 2022. He has over 25 years experience in the investment sector, most recently as CEO and director of Quilter Investors Portfolio Management and Managing Director and Director of Quilter Investors Limited, while also undertaking the role of Quilter's Group Head of Responsible Investment where he had responsibility for the design of the Group responsible investment and responsible business strategies. Dean began his career as an Investment Manager at Thesis Asset management, personally managing individual client portfolios and a range of funds. In 2007 Dean moved to Skandia (now Quilter) as Chief Investment Officer of the International Division, spending 15 years with the group undertaking a number of senior leadership positions across the platform, wealth and asset management businesses.

Kitty Ussher

Kitty Ussher is an economist, former Lambeth councillor and MP who served as Economic Secretary to the Treasury (City Minister) during the financial crisis of 2007-08. In parliament she was a member of the Public Accounts Committee, the 2006 Companies Act and several Finance Bill committees. She has also served on the Financial Services Consumer Panel of the FCA. Kitty is currently Chief Economist at the Institute of Directors and also a Non-Executive Director at Revolut NewCo UK Ltd, a fast growing fintech company. She has developed her expertise through her work in public policy research consultancy and as an advisor to fintech firms. This includes roles as Chief Executive and subsequently Chief Economic Adviser at the think-tank Demos and Managing Director of Tooley Street Research.

Kristina Ingate

Kristina joined London CIV in May 2018. As Director for Governance and Company Secretary she is responsible for governance, the company secretariat, strategic planning and a range of related corporate projects. Her governance, corporate administration and operations, regulatory and senior management expertise and experience has been gained across a wide range of sectors, including financial services, housing, transport, education and in international groups. Her career includes experience of organisations serving the London Local Authorities area, including the City, Inner and Outer London boroughs. She is a Chartered (Company) Secretary FCIS, FCG with an MSc in Corporate Governance and Business Ethics, together with qualifications in marketing and business administration.

Mark Laidlaw

Mark has over 30 years experience in financial services primarily within life, pensions and asset management and is a qualified actuary. Mark most recently was Corporate Strategy Director at LV= and held a number of roles including as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Chief Risk Officer (CRO) at AEGON UK. Mark is a Non-Executive Director of Omnilife, Kilter Finance and Scottish Friendly as well as a Trustee of the LV= pension scheme. Mark is a member of the Compliance Audit and Risk Committee (CARCO).

Martin Gloyne - COO

Martin Gloyne is Chief Operating Officer (COO). The new COO role will be focused on delivering high quality operational services to the benefit of the business and clients. Martin has over 30 years' experience within FCA authorised investment management firms largely working within the pensions industry and supporting multiple client and product types. This includes previous experience at COO level and consultancy roles. Martin has significant experience in business risk management, control frameworks and associated management reporting and in managing key service suppliers, including fund administrators, depositaries and IT infrastructure. Most recently Martin was COO of Quilter Investors Limited where he had responsibility for the day to day administration of the Quilter Investors funds. During his career, he spent a number of years at Aviva Investors in senior roles continuously adapting the operating model to support the changing business and corporate needs. Martin also spent several years as an Operations Consultant helping a range of investment managers solve their operational challenges.

Sam joined London CIV in October 2021 as HR Manager and is responsible for driving and delivering the People strategy. With over 20 years' experience as an HR professional, she provides both strategic and operational HR and L and D expertise having undertaken various roles HR roles the private and not for profit sectors. She has also worked as a tutor teaching professional CIPD HR qualifications. She is a Chartered Member of CIPD, holds a BA Hons in Business Studies and a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resources.

Yvette Lloyd

Yvette Lloyd is Head of Investment Product Structuring Solutions at BNY Mellon Investment Management EMEA Ltd, overseeing a range of product solutions across Europe and Asia. She brings experience of providing strategic advice on product structures across equity, multi asset, real estate in both public and private markets, for both retail and institutional investors in the UK, EMEA and Asia. Yvette has over twenty years' of experience working at large asset management firms as part of the senior leadership team facilitating decision making by participating in and leading investment and product committees, Boards and workshops. Her experience includes market analysis and portfolio strategy; strategic production evaluation, planning and implementation of complex projects; fund governance including producing UK Value Assessments; governance of fund of funds and model portfolio propositions, retirement solutions and the implementation of ESG factors across a global fund platform. She has served as a Member Nominated Director of a large UK pension scheme and an advisor to the Trustee for the Royal College of Nurses Foundation on the Investment and Income Committee. Yvette is a member of the Investment Oversight Committee.
