Having worked in the film industry for over twelve years, I was ready for a change within the creative industry. I have joined the team at Beyond the Book as a Recruitment Consultant, sourcing talent within Creative Media (Videography, Motion, Animation and Visual Content Production).
I am a real people person, with an overall artistic eye and a positive attitude to life. I value kindness and honesty above everything else and love how much this is reflected in everybody who works here.

With nearly 30 years industry experience (14 years in marketing agencies; 15 years in marketing and creative recruitment), I am a bit of a veteran!
I am one of the founders and take the lead across all of our permanent sectors - Creative, Digital, PR, Marketing, Client Servicing and Delivery. I am also still very much hands-on!
With the many years I have within the industry, I have access to a vast network of people, which is an essential channel to exhaust the marketing for suitable candidates.
I'm extremely driven by my values of empathy, openness, fun and hard work, and these are lived by, not only in my day to day work, but also filter through every touchpoint here at Beyond The Book, and ultimately have a positive impact on client and candidate experience and results.
I love talking, listening, consulting, project managing, and working tirelessly to delivery. I can promise you a positive experience.
Outside of work, I can be found enjoying wine, laughs, my local pub, my dog (Sonny) and my spot on my sofa.

With over 6 years industry experience in digital marketing, and 2 years recruiting with Beyond The Book, I lead our digital marketing desk across the US. - Senior Freelance Recruitment Specialist
With 10 years' industry experience (1 years' marketing agency experience; 9 years' creative and marketing recruitment experience), I run one of the two freelance desks here, supporting in-house teams and agencies, across the UK, with freelance resource across a vast variety of skill sets from creative, client services, marketing, digital, development, etc.
My career in recruitment started working for a small recruitment business as an Assistant Resourcing and Marketing Manager. I then moved on to working for a marketing agency as an Account Executive, where the role involved junior level client management, on and offline project management and liaising with Creative, Studio and Development teams.
I am definitely, first and foremost, a people person. I love talking to new and existing freelancers, understanding their freelance offering, what works for them and what doesn't, sharing industry news, and above all, supporting them throughout their freelance careers. To guide and support someone who is about to embark on their freelance journey and see them thrive - that is why I do what I do. I love getting to know our clients' businesses, culture and what makes them tick. For me, it really is all about building relationships with our clients and freelancers and working hard to find suitable contractors for our clients' temporary resource needs.
With 7 years recruitment experience, I manage our PR and Digital Team (which encompasses public relations, communications, content, social media, acquisition, PPC, SEO, e-commerce and events) here at Beyond The Book. I work really closely with both agency and client side companies across a range of sectors including B2B, consumer and charity and not for profit, helping them find brilliant people for their team.
Before I moved into agency life, I worked within HR in the leisure and hospitality industry, but naturally gravitated towards a role in recruitment because this is what I loved most. My career has always involved people and building strong relationships wherever I go.
I love content, I love social media and I have a passion for all things PR. I am a firm believer that relationships are key. Through my love of building relationships, I pride myself on working closely with my clients to truly understand their business and long-term goals, and with my candidates to know the type of working culture that will help them thrive. Recruitment is a marathon, not a sprint; it isn't about ‘placing that job' but about working together for the long term and working toward the same end goal in partnership.
