Camilla Ahlberg is a Partner and European Patent Attorney specialising in Medtech, Chemistry, Food & Beverage and Mechanics. She is highly experienced in opposition and appeal proceedings before the European Patent Office (EPO).
After starting her career as a Patent Attorney at AWA, Camilla joined the global medical technology company Gambro Lundia, a manufacturer and supplier of products and therapies for kidney and liver dialysis.
At Gambro Lundia, Camilla drafted and prosecuted patent applications, managed opposition and appeal proceedings as lead and supporting Patent Counsel, performed due diligence and freedom to operate analyses, as well as advising management on intellectual property matters.
Camilla's blend of experience from industry and private practice ensures she fully understands clients' commercial and intellectual property needs.
Camilla Andén is an experienced Senior Paralegal within the designs, trademarks and renewals area. Camilla has been in the IP business since 1999 and prior to joining AWA in 2007 Camilla has been working for an other patent firm in Malmö.

Emma Ahlström joined AWA as an Associate in 2017, specialising within the fields of Mechanics, Cleantech and Manufacturing & process technology. Jan-Åke Åkesson is a certified European Patent Attorney specialising in the field of mechanical engeneering. The main focus of his work is strategic consulting aimed at building up client's IP portfolios and advising on how to act in potential and actual disputes. Prior to joining AWA in 1995, Jan-Åke has been working as a development engineer at Tetra Pak AB.
Jennie-Therese Annell is experienced in patent, design and trademark prosecution and assignment matters including coordinating and managing patent, trademark and design filings worldwide. Prior to joining AWA, Jennie-Therese worked as an in-house paralegal at Tetra Pak and Baxter where, apart from handling IP-related and in-house administrative challenges, Jennie-Therese was highly involved in projects to implement new IP management systems and acting as super user and business project manager.

Joanna Applequist is a Partner and a European Patent Attorney. She has been working in the life sciences and chemistry industries since 2011. She specializes in the fields of cell- and molecular biology, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology.
Joanna works in close collaboration with clients and inventors. Her main focus areas are biological and small molecule pharmaceuticals and formulation thereof, protein engineering, antibodies, immunology, vaccine development, cell and gene therapy (ATMPs) as well as stem cells and neurobiology.

Mia previously worked as a Trademark Paralegal with prosecution and maintenance of trademarks and domain names at a large international company in the packaging industry.

Michaela also has previous experience working in the cosmetics industry. She holds a bachelor's degree in Political Science from Uppsala University, focusing on International Relations and Commercial Law.

Mikael Andersson is a certified European Patent Attorney, certified European Design Attorney, and Authorised Patent Attorney (Sweden). Mikael is partner at AWA and work as account manager or senior patent attorney for a number of multinational companies. Mikael has experience in various field of technologies including packaging, food processing, building technology, road markings, dental care, automotive industry and medicine technology. The work is focused on strategic counselling with respect to building of IP-portfolios supporting our clients' overall business strategies.
