Marie A. Thorne, 60, Barnegat, went to rest in the arms of Jesus at approximately 7:50 am, Monday, August 8, 2016, in Barnegat, NJ... Marie was born December 27, 1955 in Staten Island, NY. She learned to be caring to the needs of others as the oldest sibling of the family as she often assisted them at home. Marie graduated Southern Regional High School and married Gary Thorne two weeks later. Their marriage, focused on their faith in Jesus, became the firm foundation of their family and a testimony to those that encountered them... Marie was a full time mom to her three sons, Gary, Eric and Brad. She often went above and beyond what was required to ensure each of her sons reached their full potential. Her strength and determination in the midst of adversity was unrivaled.
