Alex Klimoski

Alex Klimoski develops, supports, and implements strategic communications campaigns for renowned design firms and cultural and arts institutions, drawing upon her ten years of experience as a writer, critic, and editor for architecture and design publications, including Architectural Record, The Architect's Newspaper, and Interior Design. Her writing, which focuses on urbanism, new building projects, and the cultural and social implications of design, has also appeared in The New York Times, Metropolis, and CityLab. Prior to joining R+A in 2021, Alex managed PR initiatives for architecture firms including Marvel Design and Behnisch Architekten. Alex received a Bachelor of Science degree in Design and Environmental Analysis from Cornell University, and a Master of Arts in Design Criticism from the School of Visual Arts, where she wrote a thesis examining the semiotics and production of architectural renderings.

Prior to joining R+A, Aliyah executed marketing campaigns at a mission-driven podcast network. Previously, she developed and implemented PR initiatives at a New York-based firm. Anuradha Golder

Anuradha provides administrative support for the full R+A team. Prior to joining R+A in 2016, Anuradha worked as an Alumnae Relations Student Coordinator and Audio Visual Technician at Barnard College. Anuradha graduated from Barnard College with a major in Theatre with a concentration in Playwriting. She is a recipient of the Louise Finkelstein Feinsot and the Norman C. Fields Scholarship and part of the Arthur O. Eve Higher Education Opportunity Program.

Barbara Escobar - VP

Barbara has nearly fifteen years of experience leading effective communications campaigns for an international roster of clients, from disruptive start-ups to major institutions. Since joining Resnicow and Associates in 2015, Barbara has overseen communications programs in markets around the world -- developing international media campaigns, advising on partnership and revenue-generating programs, and guiding internal communications and crisis management. Clients and projects have included the opening of the Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami's new permanent home in the Miami Design District in 2017 and its acquisition of a CryptoPunk NFT in 2021; the launch of the experiential art venture Superblue and its flagship center in Miami in 2021; national campaigns for the launch of Frieze Los Angeles and the launch of Frieze Sculpture in New York at Rockefeller Center in 2019; and campaigns for the U.S. Pavilion at the 2017 Venice Biennale, Sharjah Art Foundation, the Cisneros Fontanals Art Foundation (CIFO), the Art Dealers Association of America (ADAA), the Dallas Museum of Art, and the Gordon Parks Foundation, among others. In 2017, she worked with the Wallace Foundation and its grantees across the country to launch and produce a series of editorial and video content to support the foundation's six-year $52-million "Building Audiences for Sustainability (BAS)" initiative. Her previous roles have spanned communications, marketing, programming, and operations for the arts and culture sector, including at Aperture Foundation, where she oversaw communications, media relations, and events for more than 120 publications and initiatives; Phillips de Pury (New York); Transformer (Washington, DC); and SUNY Purchase College, as adjunct faculty in arts marketing. She is also a small business mentor with Pacific Community Ventures and has served on the advisory board of the Honolulu Biennial, now Honolulu Contemporary. She received a master's degree in museum studies from Johns Hopkins University and graduated cum laude from Catholic University with a double major in art history and philosophy.

Caroline Farrell

Caroline draws upon her experiences in journalism, advertising, and the arts to support communications campaigns for arts, design, and cultural institutions. Before joining R+A in 2021, Caroline was an editorial intern and freelance writer for Our State Magazine, covering local artists and small businesses in North Carolina. While studying at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, she was the Editor-in-Chief of Coulture Magazine and served as a communications research intern for the Ackland Art Museum. She is also a multimedia artist with a focus in photography, collage, and illustration. Caroline graduated from the UNC-Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts in media and journalism and a second major in studio art and a minor in Russian language and culture.

Caroline McKinley

Caroline draws upon her experience working with museums, galleries, and non-profit organizations to craft and implement impactful communications campaigns for visual arts clients. Caroline returns to R+A (where she began her career) after stints on the communications team at the Whitney Museum of American Art, where she led publicity campaigns for special exhibitions, including the 2022 Whitney Biennial; and most recently, at LGDR in New York, where she served as Communications Manager and helped to launch the new international consortium. Caroline graduated with honors from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts in Media and Journalism and a minor in Studio Art.

Cat Miller

As Vice President of Operations, Cat oversees human resources, information and office systems, and the administrative staff; facilitates new business and hiring processes; and is a member of the executive leadership team. Prior to joining R+A in 2012, Cat served as the Director of Marketing and Community Relations at Lark Theater in New York, among other positions. A working playwright and director, she is the recipient of a Drama League fall fellowship and first stage residency. Her play The Hope Hypothesis was a 2019 semifinalist for Bay Area Playwrights Festival, Premiere Play Festival (Premiere Stages, Kean University), and PlayPenn and received its premiere (under her direction) with Voyage Theater Company in Fall 2019 to critical acclaim. She has directed and developed work at the Public Theater, Atlantic Theater Company, Steppenwolf, Ma-Yi Theater, HERE, The Lark, Keen Company, and Ensemble Studio Theatre; and was assistant director to Anna D. Shapiro on multiple Broadway shows. She has worked as a guest artist/adjunct faculty at Bard College, Ramapo College, NYU Tisch School of the Arts, and Fairfield University. A former directing resident at Playwright Horizons and member of the Lincoln Center Theater Directors Lab, Cat holds an MFA from Northwestern University and a BA from Oberlin College.

Charolette Short

Charolette is responsible for R+A's financial administration and works with the company leadership on benefits and operations. She has been with R+A since 2002.

Claire Hurley

After launching her career in communications at Resnicow + Associates, Claire spent four years at Pace Gallery, where she worked closely with leading contemporary artists as well as major foundations and estates on exhibition campaigns. Her work as part of the gallery's global communications team also encompassed corporate strategy, including gallery expansions in the US and Asia, institutional artist projects, and art fairs. Claire graduated from the University of Virginia's Art History department with highest distinction.

Delaney Smith

Delaney leads communications strategy and implementation for cultural organizations across the visual arts, performing arts, and philanthropic sectors. Prior to joining R+A in 2018, Delaney worked in Development at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (MASS MoCA). She also has experience developing digital communications strategy and content as an intern with Definition 6, a digital marketing and video production agency in New York. Delaney graduated magna cum laude from Williams College with a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and Biology.

Elizabeth Cregan

Before joining R+A in 2021, Elizabeth worked with Essence Global on their strategic communications team. Prior to Essence, she interned with Folio Literary Management and served as Editor-in-Chief of Georgetown's Bossier Magazine. She is also a freelance writer and illustrator, as well as a musician. Elizabeth earned her Bachelor of Arts in English, Film & Media Studies, and Justice & Peace Studies at Georgetown University, graduating magna cum laude and with Phi Beta Kappa honors.

Elyse Howell

Prior to joining R+A, Elyse worked at Phillips Auctioneers and Heritage Auctions in New York City. She earned her MA in the History of Art and Archaeology at the Institute of Fine Arts, NYU; and graduated with honors from Franklin and Marshall College, where she double-majored in History and Art History.

Emma Gold

Prior to joining R+A in 2021, Emma worked on the development team at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, where she supported the capital campaign to renovate David Geffen Hall as well as the Young Patrons membership program. Before Lincoln Center, she held internships at the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) and the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation. Emma graduated magna cum laude from Columbia University with a Bachelor of Arts in English.

Francesca Kielb

Francesca develops and implements strategic communications campaigns for clients in the visual arts and architecture sectors, drawing upon her experience working with museums, galleries, art fairs, and non-profit organizations. Prior to joining R+A in 2020, Francesca worked as a Senior Account Executive at a Chicago-based communications firm, where she led publicity campaigns for clients including EXPO CHICAGO, Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, Chicago Artists Coalition, and more. Before that, she held positions as a curatorial intern at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago and Cranbrook Art Museum. She has served on the executive board of the non-profit Arts of Life and volunteered with the Prison Creative Arts Project. Francesca graduated with honors from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Art & Design and minors in History of Art and Museum Studies.

Hannah Holden

Hannah draws on her experience as a writer and past work in communications, both in-house and at agencies, to develop and implement strategic communications for organizations at the forefront of arts and culture. Prior to joining R+A, Hannah served as the Communications Director at an artist-led grassroots advocacy campaign and as the Digital Content Editor at Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum. Additionally, she represented galleries, artist studios, nonprofits, and art fairs at a boutique public-relations firm. As a writer and editor, she has worked for Guernica, BOMB Magazine, and Prattfolio, among other publications. Hannah received a Bachelor of Fine Arts with Highest Honors in Writing from Pratt Institute and a Master of Fine Arts in Writing from Columbia University, where she was awarded an editorial fellowship at Columbia Journal and instructed creative-writing seminars with Columbia Artist/Teachers.

Ilana Simon Rubin - SVP

Ilana Simon Rubin has more than 20 years of experience designing and implementing strategic institutional communications campaigns for cultural and educational organizations spanning visual and performing arts, architecture, design and philanthropy. Since joining Resnicow and Associates in 2002, Ilana has provided executive counsel, strategy and media relations for some of the country's leading museums, performing arts institutions, universities and foundations. Based in Denver, she is a member of R+A's executive management committee and leadership team. Ilana has a particular expertise in the launch of new cultural institutions, including the Institute for Contemporary Art at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), the Anderson Collection at Stanford University, the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, the AT&T Performing Arts Center, the Nasher Museum at Duke University and the Nasher Sculpture Center. She also has extensive experience leading international communications campaigns for La Biennale di Venezia, in both the art and architecture exhibitions, including seven times for the U.S. Pavilion for artists such as Martin Puryear, Mark Bradford and Joan Jonas. Ilana has also led programs for major universities, such as Stanford, M.I.T., and VCU, to promote their various arts initiatives to audiences in the region, nationally, and internationally. Past and recent clients include the Amon Carter Museum of American Art, Contemporary Arts Center, Cincinnati, Denver Art Museum, Ford Motor Company Fund, High Museum of Art, Israel Museum, Jerusalem, and United States Artists, among many others. Ilana holds a bachelor of arts in public policy studies from Duke University, with a minor in art history. She currently serves on the board of Buntport Theater Company.

Jenny Levine

Jenny supports communications strategy and implementation for arts and cultural institutions, drawing on her previous experience working in journalism and nonprofits. Prior to joining R+A, Jenny spent a year at Fifth Avenue Committee, held a communications internship with the Clinton Foundation, and helped cover the 2020 primaries with the Rachel Maddow Show. She also directed the documentary film Burying the Park which was selected by the Malta Film Festival and International Students Creative Award. Jenny earned her Bachelor of Arts in journalism and anthropology with a minor in documentary film at New York University and graduated as a Presidential Scholar.
