STORM KING ART CENTER

Established in 2015 by Shandaken Projects and Storm King Art Center, the Shandaken: Storm King residency is a unique collaboration that cultivates a process-focused artist experience at Storm King Art Center. Since its founding, the program has grown into a renowned opportunity for artists from across the country to invest uninterrupted time in process while living within one of the world's most important outdoor museums... We believe that research, experimentation, and the pursuit of new ideas are vital steps in the progress of culture, and that the creative community must safeguard space for them. We provide an alternative organizational model and significant opportunities for this community in an independent environment. Shandaken Projects is a 501(c)3 nonprofit and is intentionally small-scale.
