David Grocer

David Grocer has led marketing efforts for over 25 years: building strategies based on a strong understanding of the target market; then creating marketing plans to bring those strategies to market. After earning his B.A. from Duke University, and MBA from Kellogg, David led marketing efforts at Procter & Gamble (P&G) for several brands including Crest and Vidal Sassoon. His subsequent experience was split between B2C categories such as CPG, travel, food, and online retail/ecommerce; and applying B2C marketing sophistication to progressive B2B companies in software, hospitality, telecommunication, and ecommerce technology. He has championed marketing efforts within companies of all sizes, start-ups through Fortune 1000, including MCI, Manhattan Associates, Noro-Mosely-backed hsupply.com (eprocurement for the hotel industry), ICG-backed Channel Intelligence (acquired by Google), Park ‘N Fly, and PaperStyle.com.

Matt has been a general management and marketing executive in Fortune 200 Enterprises as well as a founder, developer or leadership team member in product/service ventures for over 35 years. Matt's extensive strategic and operational experience, as well as his proven track record of turning around underperforming organizations/businesses makes him a valuable resource for both early stage and mid-market companies. Matt's insights and experience can be leveraged in C-Suite and functional leader advisory, as well as overall leadership mentoring. Matt has held senior enterprise roles at Motorola, Nextel, Samsung and United Stationers. Matt has deep knowledge in Business/Marketing Strategy, Brand Development and Management, New Product Development/Management and Overall Product/Portfolio Lifecycle management. Matt has also founded three mobile product and one healthcare technology startups (Strateq Health, Aurisma, ONVocal, Design Syncracy) and as well as holding a leadership/marketing executive role at LavaStorm a venture backed Internet systems engineering firm. Matt has also serviced as an Advisor for various startups and small business ventures including Playrific an early childhood content management company, and North American Stone Products an innovator in building material products and supplies.
