The Centre For Experiential Research (CER) is an open education and research organization focused on investigating the relationship between the Canadian landscape and man-made architecture. It is through this pursuit that CER will be able to contribute valuable research into the public sphere with the ultimate goal of better understanding how the development of our culture has inscribed our landscapes. The activities of CER have three main streams. First, an expeditionary research component that is invested in individual projects based on corporeal research and field study. Second, a custom Google map that acts as a repository for all location data aggregated from individual projects and displayed for free at c-e-r.org. And finally, an ongoing public program of lectures, events, and workshops that come from, and can be funneled back into, ongoing research topics.
