My name is Rick Seidel. I am President and Senior Patent Illustrator for Figure 1, a professional patent illustration company. Figure 1 can offer the knowledge and experience cultivated over 30 years in the intellectual property industry. From the days of the drawing board to using the most current CAD software for 2D drawings and 3D CAD models, the methods of capturing innovation through our worlds advances have changed but the responsibility to properly illustrate those advances remains as critical today as it was for the first patent issued. At Figure 1, we take that responsibility seriously. Protecting innovation by providing accurate, high quality illustrations is imperative. This requires a depth of illustration skills and the knowledge of how to fully and accurately represent each application to ensure a successful submission to the Patent Office.
