Andy Ney

"I have always dreamed of working for the Medic Rig/AMMU! I remember always seeing the team take care of riders on TV and it is what made me aspire to become a Paramedic." Today, Andy has two jobs. He supports his local Iowa Community College Program and also works at an Ambulance Service. Priorities when he is not at work are spending time with family and riding dirt bikes to support local motocross facilities.

Anthony De Hoyos

Job Titles:
  • Certified Athletic Trainer
Anthony is no stranger to our sport and the credentials and drive we like to see on our crews. He has a Bachelors of Science degree in Athletic Training from San Diego State University (SDSU) and is currently completing a Masters in Sports Science. 2017 was also Anthony's second summer as an athletic training intern with the Seattle Seahawks in addition to his work as an ATC at San Diego Mesa Community College. Anthony surfs and trains in the martial art Muay Thai regularly.

Chad Arnold

2022 marks Chad's 11th season with our Center. As a Fire Fighter Paramedic in San Diego, he has spent a decade specializing in emergency paramedicine. If he is not on the job or at the races, he is enjoying time with my beautiful wife and 3 wonderful children, …. and dirt bikes.

Christopher Alexander

Dr. Alexander is a Southern California native and dedicated offroad rider. Based in the Temecula Valley, Dr. Chris has worked in orthopaedic sports medicine for 20 years including activities associated with the San Diego Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine Fellowship program and more recently, as an important addition to the Caselli Foundation. When he is not at work or trackside with us; he is spending time with wife Annette and their four teenagers.

Dann Raible

I don't know alot about Dann, but this first question is, why two n's. What I do know is a big asset to the team with double skills. He had been voluntering as trackside support and then added for special events. When we realized he was also an RN we quickly found another place for him. Authored by Joanne

Darby Brauning

Darby joins the 2019 Crew list with experience riding, racing and caring for two-wheeled athletes. Darby serves his Michigan community as a flight nurse/paramedic and emergency/critical care instructor. Off hours, he is a father of "three cool kids" and coaches lacrosse. His resume adds experience as a Certified Athletic Trainer, Member of the National Ski Patrol and on the Medical staff for the FCA motocross camps. Darby has been a tireless volunteer and we are happy to welcome him to the professionals who wear our brand and line our race tracks.

Dr. John "Doc" Bodnar

  • AMA Medical Director
Doc has been involved in the motocross racing community for 35 years, from flagging to following the Supercross and Motocross Series as its track side physician. He was a pivotal member during the inception of the medical team and his experience and credibility are without equal in our sport. Today, he is the Medical Director for our Medic Rig and Medical Director for AMA Supercross and Motocross National Series'. Doc has been a life-long off-road motorcycle enthusiast, racing in the Southern California desert and enduro scene for many years. When not performing motorcycle related duties, he is an emergency medicine physician in the San Diego area.

Heather Hutchins

James Kennedye

Job Titles:

Dr. Kennedye received his first minibike in 1978 and immediately became a lifelong racer, rider, and fan. Today, Dr. Jim is an Officer in the U.S. Naval Reserves, Emergency Physician in Oklahoma and clinical faculty member at Oklahoma's Oklahoma College of Medicine. Dr. Kennedye has been assisting the team for decade. Dr. Kennedye has a wife and daughter and enjoys the outdoors when he gets the chance.

Jennifer Ferrence

  • Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner
Jennifer is an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner, with nursing experience in both Critical Care and the Emergency Department. In her time off, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her husband and son, traveling and riding dirt bikes together. She has been a SX and MX team member and enters her 11th series with us in 2022. Working for the Alpinestars Mobile Medical Unit combines her love of motocross and helping the athletes with their injuries.

Joanne Pryor

Joanne joined the Medic Rig in 2005, coordinating the Superpass program and promotional auctions to benefit the rig. In 2009 she began helping Tom & Doc with the day to day Medical Center office administration as well. She now handles the bookkeeping and helps where needed. As a motorcycle rider and racing fan forever, working with this team is a perfect fit.

Kellie Ruhl

Kellie is a travel nurse specializing in the ICU. When not working she spends time her family, traveling, and enjoying the beach with her border collie. Kellie grew up, down the road from RedBud and was always at the races. Entering her third year with us, there was no better way for her to combine her love for the sport and career than working with Alpinestars to provide our racers with the best possible medical attention.

Michael Libunao

Mike has been on the team since 2004 and his background was another perfect fit for the Medic Rig's style of moto medicine. Mike is an RN in the Emergency Room and Telemedicine department. Before that, he was a Orthopedic Tech in the military and civilian world. Mike lives in So. California.

Monica Ramsey

Wife of a Supercross Champion, Monica Ramsey is now a member of our Crew. Monica is an Emergency Room Nurse at a Trauma Center in Riverside County, CA and married to a fan favorite, Nathan Ramsey. The family juggles their hours to support their daughter Tatum, a nationally recognized dancer, and son Tyson's multi-sport schedule. Monica is excited to merge both of her passions together and to be able to give back to a medical team that has always been there for her family.

Paul Reiman

Dr. Reiman joined the Medical team in 2009, having been the personal physician for many of our professional riders since 1999. Based in Temecula, CA and Board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine, Dr. Reiman has helped many of our Supercross, Motocross, and Freestyle championship riders back to the podium from injury. Dr. Reiman is the also the leader of our Concussion Program and coordinates with leading research organizations. Dr. Paul is a long time street and dual sport rider as well as an avid mountain biker.

Rodney Duncan

This is Rodney's third race season with the team. In addition to driving, he maintains all of the mules; keeping them supplied during the event and looking good as well. Rodney calls Oregon his home base.

Tom Carson

Tom Carson is the Chief of Staff of our Medic Rig. The point man for everything from lug nuts on the wheels to peanuts in the Staff Lounge. Tom previously worked for Asterisk, as their Director of Motor Sports and Professional Rider rep for the United States and Europe. An original player since the inception of the program, Tom is the man who makes sure the rig is up and running and that everything is working 30 times a year. Tom Carson is another lifetime racer, has lived and successfully competed in Europe and the United States and a 2006 National Champion. Tom knows racing and safety and has a passion to keep them aligned.
