My curiosity took me into the winding road of research. From my early days in a neuroscience fish lab, I realized that I found people more interesting. Hence, I began human-centered research in the academic and nonprofit sectors, studying work hazards of immigrant Latino farmworkers and laborers and applying ethnography and survey methodologies. It was refreshing to work with project and community stakeholders.
