Barbara is an international scientist, passionate about bringing research ideas to the market. Barbara received her PhD in plant molecular biology in 2019 from Umeå University. Before joining SmiLe she worked as a project manager for biomedical studies in Umeå Biotech Incubator. She also gained experience by acting as a business developer in her own startup. She communicated her research and her business idea at all levels, including the public, managers, investors, clinicians, and experts, both by giving lectures and elevator pitches. In her spare time, Barbara enjoys hiking, outdoor training, and cooking.
Ebba is a versatile, strategic and visionary leader who has a passion for innovation and a great respect for the challenges of being an entrepreneur. Prior to joining SmiLe, she was communication and business development manager at Aqilles Invest, and has previously held several management positions. She holds a M.Sc., Business and Economics from Stockholm School of Economics.

Jacob has several years of experience working within the financial industry. Additionally, Jacob has gained a lot of financial experience working at an accounting firm in Sweden for four years.

Today he is the CEO of the pharma company Sinntaxis, a position he will retain in addition to his assignment as a business coach at SmiLe.
