We're Access Dorset - an organisation run by and for disabled people, older people and carers. From our community hub, called The Bridge, we have created a therapeutic environment where disabled and older people can access activities and support that improve mental and physical health, reduce loneliness, build friendships, and develop independent living skills... We support one another through our through our Information, Advice and Guidance Service, Advocacy, our full Activity Program, Skills Development Opportunities, and activities that reduce social isolation and improve health. Our Activity Program includes Art Groups, Performing Arts, Walking Group, Games Group, 50-plus Group, Sports Group, The Horizon Cafe, and our Woodwork, Gardening & Cooking groups, all of which we deliver from our beautiful resource center at The Bridge... Some of us have previously missed out on opportunities for personal development. At The Bridge, there is another chance! We are a community that grows..
