The official website for Cowes Week - one of the oldest and most respected regattas in the World. The event lasts for seven days and takes place each August in the Solent waters off Cowes in the United Kingdom. Between 500 and 600 keelboats take part, ranging from high-tech racing machines to classic day boats, and are split into up to 30 classes which race on each of the seven days... Since 1826 Cowes Week has played a key part in the British sporting summer calendar and is one of the UK's longest running and most successful sporting events. It now stages up to 40 daily races for around 500 boats and is the largest sailing regatta of its kind in the world.
