Welcome to East Elmhurst Community School! We opened our school in 2013 to bring more arts education to our children, to meaningfully engage families in their children's education, and to give our children the space to become the fullest expressions of themselves. As we integrate the arts in to all areas of learning, expect your child to come home talking about artist Diego Rivera, singer Nat King Cole and composer Ludwig van Beethoven. Also expect your child to come home talking about how s/he impacted her classroom community. Here, we do not teach obedience, but respectful inquiry and activism. With the current movement of technology, we are preparing your child for a future with increased automation and jobs that do not yet exist, that we cannot yet imagine! We do this by creating background in the liberal arts and sciences. Encourage your child to take advantage of all Elmhurst Community School.
