Alan was born and raised in Quesnel, BC. He obtained his undergraduate degree from UNBC in Prince George, BC in 2011, where he majored in Biology. In 2016, he obtained a law degree from the Faculty of Law at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, BC. He returned to his hometown and articled with a small local firm and was called to the bar in April of 2017. After practicing in his hometown Alan relocated to Kelowna and joined a local solicitor firm. In 2021, Alan joined Montgomery Miles &Stone as an associate.
While Alan has experience in providing clients with both litigation and solicitor services, he now focuses on solicitor work. His practice includes Real Estate, Wills and Estate Planning, Estate Administration and Business Law. His main passion is helping clients in planning their estates and ensuring their loved ones are provided for. His experience in Family Law Litigation helps in planning estates with problematic family members.
Alan's hobbies include mountain biking, hockey and music. He was a founding member of the TRU Lawggers Hockey Club and the TRU Law School Band "The Dissent". He enjoys riding and exploring the many spectacular mountain bike trails found throughout the Okanagan and surrounding areas.

Allisa grew up in Richmond, BC, before moving to Quebec and Ontario to pursue her undergraduate studies at McGill University and her Dual Juris Doctor Degree at the University of Windsor and the University of Detroit Mercy, graduating magna cum laude from her program. She was called to the Ontario bar in 2014, and practiced in Toronto, Ontario as an employment and labour lawyer before returning back to BC and joining Montgomery Miles & Stone as its newest associate in 2018.
Allisa has practiced in both English and Mandarin in Toronto and will further her language capabilities to assist her clients in Kelowna. Her focus practice areas are real estate, wills and estate planning, and business law. Allisa also brings with her, prior experience as an employment litigation lawyer, to assist clients in business transactions, ensuring that their interests are fully protected in all aspects.
Outside of the office, Allisa plans to continue her passion of volunteering and giving back to her community. Previously in Toronto, Allisa was the President of the Taiwanese Young Professionals and Entrepreneurs Associations, and a Director of the North American Association of Asian Professionals - Toronto. Allisa also spent every Thursday morning at the Law Society of Ontario, serving breakfast to those in need. Outside of the office, Allisa enjoys spending her time playing the piano, learning the ropes of becoming a better cherry farmer, and taking photographs of the beautiful natural scenery the Okanagan has to offer.

Caia is a Lawyer with Montgomery Miles and Stone Law Firm, Caia holds a JD from the University of Windsor and an undergraduate degree in Business Management and Organization Studies with a specialization in Finance from the University of Western Ontario. Caia's areas of practice include Corporate Law, Commercial and Residential Real Estate, Wills and Estates.
In her spare time Caia enjoys being a mom to little Henry, snowboarding at Big White, doing yoga, reading and spending time with her husband and sheltie.
Caia is involved in various professional and community organizations including Kelowna Women in Business.

Deanna grew up in St. Albert, Alberta before moving to Kelowna in 2007. She completed both her Bachelor of Commerce Degree (majoring in human resources) and her Law Degree at the University of Alberta. Deanna was called to the bar in 2009 and joined Montgomery Miles as an associate lawyer in 2011. In September of 2016, Deanna became a partner of Montgomery Miles & Stone.
Deanna has focused her practice in the areas of real estate, estate planning and business law. She has worked with numerous clients assisting them with buying, selling and financing their personal homes and corporate offices. Deanna has assisted clients with their land development projects for both commercial properties and residential developments. Deanna works with her business clients to create new businesses and grow existing companies, while protecting their interests. Her other areas of practice include employment law and first nations land transactions.
Outside of the office Deanna can be found pursuing one of her many passions with her family and friends. Deanna is involved as a volunteer on many boards and committees, including the BCSPCA, the Kelowna Bar Association and the Kelowna Apple Triathlon Organizing Committee. When not in the office, Deanna enjoys spending her time on the slopes up at Big White and Silver Star, participating in triathlons or spending time on the lakes soaking up the beautiful Okanagan sunshine.

Richard balances a busy law practice with his outside interests that include swimming, cycling and triathlons in the summer months and skiing in the winter. His business clients are varied and include proprietorships, partnerships, companies, investors, developers, and financial institutions. His real estate clients range from lending and mortgage work to conveyancing, leasing and development transactions. He believes that everyone should have a proper estate plan and understands the issues and concerns encountered by clients and has the practical knowledge to advise his clients and deal with these situations.
Richard grew up in Vancouver but developed a passion for the beauty, the climate and the lifestyle of the Okanagan, so when he graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1978, he moved to Kelowna. He has practiced law in Kelowna since then. In 2009 started Montgomery Miles Law Firm.
In those moments away from the office, Richard enjoys swimming, cycling and triathlons in the summer months and skiing in the winter.
Peter Borszcz is a Lawyer and partner at Montgomery Miles and Stone Law Firm. Peter practices in the areas of business law, real estate development, real estate regulation and licensing, commercial lending and commercial real estate, with an emphasis on shopping centres, agricultural businesses (including vineyards and wineries), liquor licensing, telecommunications and utilities, commercial financing, and residential, commercial and resort developments.
Peter has worked on numerous projects for business owners, developers, mobility and utility providers, and institutional lenders. Peter has extensive experience in the following areas: structuring co-ownership, joint venture, and limited partnership relationships for real estate development projects; representing institutional lenders in real estate financing transactions; representing parties in the acquisition and sale of wineries and agricultural businesses; assisting with the acquisition, sale, relocation and purchase of liquor licenses; representing both landlords and tenants in commercial, retail and industrial leasing transactions and advising clients with respect to zoning, bylaw and other real estate regulatory compliance matters.
In addition to his work at the firm, Peter Borszcz is a legal-update instructor for the Real Estate Council of British Columbia and teaches both Commercial Legal Update and Residential Legal Update to real estate licensees across the province.
When not in the office, Peter enjoys spending time with his two children, swimming, skiing, sailing, and enjoying everything the Okanagan has to offer.

Dave was born and raised in Saskatoon but moved to Kelowna in 1991. Dave graduated from KLO Secondary School with honours. He obtained his private pilot license before attending Okanagan University College for his first two years of general study before transferring to the University of British Columbia where he completed his Bachelor of Arts (Political Science) and his law degree. Dave was elected President of his law class for 2002-2003. Dave articled with a prominent business law firm in Vancouver before moving back to Kelowna to practice. Dave's practice is balanced in the Firm's three practice areas: Business Law, Real Estate Transactions, and Wills & Estates.

Vanessa moved to Kelowna from the lower mainland in 2005 and believes this was one of the best decisions she ever made! She completed her Bachelor of Arts from UBC with a double major in English and Classical Studies and her Bachelor of Education from UBCO as an elementary specialist. Vanessa has practiced in a variety of areas of law over her 20 years in the legal field, including corporate and securities law, but has focused her past 10 years on intellectual property law. In 2015 Vanessa became a registered trademark agent with the Canadian Intellectual Property Office and was granted reciprocal recognition to file trademark applications on behalf of Canadian clients, by the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Vanessa's clients have ranged from individuals to government boards and she has assisted her clients with trademark registrations, trademark oppositions, intellectual property assignments, cease and desist matters and intellectual property licensing. She loves meeting new clients and learning about their business ideas and what they hope that their business will evolve into, in order to assist them with a creating a plan for protecting their intellectual property. Vanessa is passionate about educating the public about intellectual property and has been a member of the Outreach and Public Awareness subcommittees of the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada for the past two years which has led her to present intellectual property seminars to law students, paralegals and entrepreneurs.
When not protecting the amazing brands produced by innovative entrepreneurs, Vanessa enjoys spending time with her family (husband Gary, daughter Nekayah and son Declan) and participating in triathlons. She is training to complete a ½ marathon in the near future.

Wes Forgione is a Partner with Montgomery Miles and Stone Law Firm. He was born and raised in Toronto and attended Osgoode Hall Law School prior to moving to Kelowna in 2013.
Wes' practice primarily focuses on business acquisitions, commercial and private financing, real estate development and real estate, and estate planning. In addition to Wes' transactional work, he often acts as "quarter back" for his clients and provides real time strategic, corporate governance and risk management advice. His experience includes acting for a variety of companies including established local enterprise, start-ups, and cannabis companies.
Wes has a diverse portfolio of experience, and knowledge across sectors having assisted clients in the food and beverage, retail, health care, construction and transportation, financial services, and information technology industries.
Wes is committed to professional excellence, and regularly presents for real estate brokers and realtors in Kelowna. He also participates in the Free Wills Month for charity.
In his spare time, Wes enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife, toddler son, and sheltie in the great outdoors that Kelowna has to offer. He also is an avid fitness enthusiast, and also trains Muay Thai with an aim to compete eventually.
