The UNT Police Department is a nationally accredited agency and serves an integral role in campus life as the university's principal provider of safety and security for our faculty, staff, students, and visitors. As established in our Mission Statement, we are dedicated partners in maintaining UNT's legacy as a healthy and enriched educational environment... The UNT Police Department consists of 3 service areas with approximately 65 full time employees, including police officers, dispatchers, public safety officers, and administrative personnel. The department has jurisdiction within the UNT campus, the city of Denton, and any county where UNT maintains property. Our 46 sworn police officers are state certified and enforce city and state laws, as well as university policies. The UNT Police Department currently provides services to the Denton Main Campus, Discovery Park campus and Frisco campuses...
