Prior to joining Solveigh, Eric was the CEO and chairman of the Board of DAS since 1997 which under his leadership became the market leader in the Dutch market in legal expense insurance and creditmanagement with over 2000 employees and 300 million in revenues. Prior to working with DAS, Eric was responsible as director for the health sector of ANOZ for 5 years, a 2 billion insurance company.

Founder of Solveigh since 1998. Over 27 years of experience in corporate investment banking, private equity and M&A with ING Investment Bank private equity, ING Bank and ABN AMRO. Has been in the supervisory and advisory board of several companies including Global M&A were he initiated the start in China and has advised many larger multinational companies at board-level.

Focus area's: High Tech companies, Strategy development, Mergers & Acquisition strategy. 35 years of experience in capital equipment industry and top level university research. Karel obtained his PhD at Delft University of Technology, after which he went to Philips (Electron Microscopy Development).
Returned in 1983 to Delft where he became professor to lead a particle optics research group. In 1989 he returned to the industry where he occupied several management functions: Technical Management, Marketing, Business Development and General Management. In this period, he worked for FEI, Philips, ASML and Applied Materials. Karel has a key role in six acquisitions and a number of strategic processes, both in the industry and in non-profit organizations. He lived in the Netherlands and the USA. Karel managed two start-up companies.
Louwrens has been involved as partner with Solveigh since 2020 and prior from 2001 to 2007 as an associate. Louwrens is a broad experienced financial change and interim manager in a wide variety of industries, especially in Media, Banking & Insurance, Utilities, Waste Management, Making Industry and Public. Before Louwrens worked for 12 years for firms in Audit & Assurance and Management Consulting.
He combines his art for strategy, finance and development with a heart for sustainable ecosystems. He develops frameworks for governance, strategy, risk management and non-financial reporting for the sustainable value creation in relation to stakeholders.
Is often consulted within the Solveigh team for governance, strategy, development and change matters as well as financial. Prior to joining Solveigh Louwrens owned for 22 years his own interim management & consulting firm and worked as CFO or as (financial) change and program manager for executive boards. Clients a.o Sanoma Media, Swets & Zeitlinger, ING, Nationale Nederlanden, City Council of Haarlem, Nationale Politie, DNB, CBS, Vattenfall, Alliander, Attero, Essent, Afvalzorg, Spaarnelanden, NIBE-SVV and City of Amsterdam. In the first 12 years of his career he worked for EY, Deloitte and a smaller audit & assurance firm.
