Alan is a solicitor based in our Ellon Office. Having gained his legal qualifications from Robert Gordon University, Alan worked with an Aberdeen-based firm prior to joining Gray and Gray as a solicitor in 2017.
Heather joined Gray & Gray LLP in 2021 following a varied career in administration, retail management and customer service.
She now manages our busy property sales team and can assist clients with the sales process from initial advice to completion.
Heather has lived in the Peterhead area for over 30 years and has an excellent knowledge of the North-East market.
John is a former pupil of Ellon Academy and honours graduate from the University of Aberdeen and has now been in private practice as a court solicitor for in excess of 27 years.
John commenced his court experience in Edinburgh in 1995 working for MacRoberts, McKay & Norwell and Nigel Beaumont and Co and in 1999 he formed the firm of Adam Bevan & Co, based in Leith. John moved back to the north east of Scotland in 2002 and was appointed as a partner at Stewart & Watson, Peterhead until April 2007 when he formed the firm of Adam Legal LLP based in Buchanhaven, Peterhead. John has conducted hundreds of summary criminal trials in the Sheriff and JP Courts and numerous Jury trials.
John also specialises in all aspects of family law including divorce, residence and contact and he also deals with residential house purchases and sales.
In 2012 John was delighted to be appointed as staff at the University of Aberdeen, taking up the position of Senior Tutor in Advanced Criminal Litigation, a post he still holds today.
A keen footballer in his younger years John has recently completed the Children's Award, a coaching qualification with the Scottish Football Association and is also a former licensed football scout for Aberdeen Football Club.
Stuart graduated from Dundee University in 1989 with an Honours degree in Law. From that time until 1992 he worked in Perth, predominantly in conveyancing. He began working in Peterhead initially as a general court assistant for Stewart & Watson and then Masson & Glennie. In 1997 he was involved in the establishment of the criminal defence firm of John MacRitchie & Co. SSC. Since December 1999 Stuart has been the principal in his own firm based in Kirk Street, Peterhead.
During the past 30 years Stuart has built up an enormous bank of experience in all areas of law. Latterly his focus has been the criminal courts where he has appeared across Scotland in cases ranging from minor road traffic matters to murder. His reputation rests on his personable manner, commitment and professionalism.
