Lowell Digisonde International, LLC (LDI) was founded in December of 2009 by Prof. Emeritus Bodo W. Reinisch, the former director of the Center for Atmospheric Research at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, who with his team has revolutionized the science of radio sounding from ground (Digisonde® Portable Sounder) and space (IMAGE/RPI). These instruments are essential for space-weather monitoring and ionospheric modeling... Our customers are interested in the effects of space weather on Earth's ionosphere, supporting communication & navigation satellite operations and HF and VHF radiowave communication.
