Andrew Sagar

After nearly two decades in the industry, Andrew Sagar has seen and done a bit of it all. A long-time fan of the show The Walking Dead, Andrew was excited to be the VFX supervisor of the new anthology series: Tales of the Walking Dead. Helping create what was essentially six mini-movies was a fun challenge. In 2014 his career took him to the snow bate region of Minneapolis and later Los Angeles, where he was the Visual Effects Supervisor and Producer at Splice. Taking charge of the department that delivered hit shows including Daredevil, Iron Fist, and Arrow as well as dozens of CW fan favorites such as Batwoman and Legends of Tomorrow. Andrew also spent time at cutting-edge companies in New York, including Encore, Method, and Scoundrel, working on a wide variety of shows.

Andy Simonson

Andy Simonson is a dedicated visual effects producer with experience in both the studio and the vendor side of the industry. At FuseFX, he applies his expertise to such shows as S.W.A.T, Bull, Thirteen Reasons Why, and the upcoming Amazon series Them: Covenant. In his role, Andy manages teams of artists whose scope of work ranges from set extensions to aircraft to spacecraft, keeping them all on budget and on time. Prior to joining the FuseFX team, Andy earned a degree in finance from the University of Arizona and began his career in the financial industry. He transitioned to visual effects in 2002 as a VFX associate at Paramount Studios on the iconic television series Star Trek Enterprise. He also worked on the client side of The Chronicles of Narnia, enabling him to learn more about that side of the industry and setting him up to be better suited to see both ends when working with clients at FuseFX. In 2006, he joined LookFX where he served as a VFX producer on such shows as Turn, Bones, Backstrom, and Game of Thrones. Andy's long history of VFX work on large scale entertainment industry projects allows for him to approach each of his projects with precision, care, and the knowledge to deliver each shot exactly as the client desires.

Anthony Filipakis

Anthony Filipakis brings more than two decades of experience as a CGI/VFX Director to the post-production industry. Since joining the FuseFX team, Anthony has worked on television projects including FOX's 911 as well as Netflix's The Politician. A proven leader with a passion for creating stunning visual effects, Anthony's expertise ranges from fun and whimsical character animation to the seamless ​integration of photoreal CGI with live-action. A New York City native, Anthony is recognized for his CGI, design, and set supervision. He spent a significant amount of his career as Director at Click3x and Industrial Color, ​as well as other post-production facilities such as Blink and CodaFX. Anthony has worked with ​many well-known brands such as Geico, LEGO, Samsung, and Movado.

Ariel Altman

Ariel Altman is a Visual Effects Supervisor and Pipeline Supervisor at FuseFX's NY office. He spends the majority of his time supervising artists and collaborating and problem-solving creatively with clients, all the while producing shots of the highest caliber. His recent work includes HBO's I Know This Much Is True, The Blacklist, Kevin Can Wait, Bull, American Made, and Luke Cage, and Mr. Robot, for which he received an Emmy nomination in 2014. Part of the New York team since its launch in 2014, Ariel brings a decade of experience as a compositor and supervisor with credits spanning television, commercials, broadcast media, and music videos. His career began as a Flame Artist for commercial work at various post facilities in New York, holding staff positions at companies such as 1st Avenue Machine, Headlight Design + Visual Effects, and Sideshow Creative and worked for clients including IBM, Coke, Verizon, HP, Maybelline, L'Oréal, Starbucks, Panera, and Sony. Ariel's experiences in photography, robotics, animation, and code result in a broad range of talent and solutions he brings to each project.

Art Codron

Art Codron is a three-time Emmy Award winner who joined the FuseFX team in 2014. Art has worked on a wide array of projects including Ozark, Prison Break, 13 Reasons Why, Bones, and the supernatural thriller, Anabelle & Annabelle: Comes Home. A Los Angeles native, Art began his career as an editor and gained his first experience in visual effects at Paramount Pictures on Star Trek: Voyager. He also worked on Star Trek: The Next Generation as a Visual Effects Editor and earned his first credit as Visual Effects Supervisor on Voyager. While at Paramount, he was also a Visual Effects Supervisor on Star Trek: Enterprise. His background includes four years at ABC Television, where his credits included Ghost Whisperer, and three years at Pixomondo Burbank, where he supervised effects for such shows as Outsourced, The Mindy Project, Exit Strategy, Go On and Perception. Art earned his three Emmy Awards for Star Trek: Voyager and Enterprise, and has been nominated for five additional Emmys.

Bastiaan Koch

Bastiaan Koch is an award-winning VFX Supervisor on the FuseFX Atlanta team with over 16 years of experience. Prior to joining FuseFX, Bastiaan was a part of 3 Oscar-winning and 5 Oscar-nominated VFX teams at LucasFilm in San Francisco, CA. Credits include Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Ready Player One, and multiple Transformers movies, to name a few. As a VFX Supervisor, his most recent experience includes the upcoming shows; The Last Thing He Told Me, Class of 09 (Hulu), and A Man In Full (Netflix). In creating his own Sci-Fi series with Netflix, Bastiaan knows how to keep an indie mindset no matter the scale of a project and understands how important it is for VFX to serve the story's narrative.

Brian Kubovcik

Brian Kubovcik is the Head of Studio/Sr. VFX Supervisor for Fuse FX Atlanta. Prior to moving to Atlanta, He was part of the NY studio as a VFX Supervisor. Brian brings years of interpersonal and creative skills to the role. His background started in editorial before gravitating to VFX as a Flame Artist and On-Set VFX Supervisor across many NY studios servicing commercial and feature work. Brian's experience guiding the VFX quality, schedule, and budget come from years of shepherding episodic, mini-series, and features from script to screen. Some of his most recent credits include DMZ (HBO), She-Hulk: Attorney at Law (Disney/Marvel), Invasion, The Curse of Bridge Hollow (Netflix), and Pose (FX). Brian was nominated for an Emmy for his work on Mr. Robot Season 3. A graduate of The University of North Carolina Wilmington, Brian grew up throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast before landing in New York City. He relocated to Atlanta in 2021 with his family. His major influences are The Clash, The Ghostbusters, and A Tribe Called Quest.

Brigitte Bourque

Brigitte Bourque is a Visual Effects Supervisor with over 25 years of experience working in the film and television industry. Brigitte got her start in filmmaking as a script supervisor and production coordinator/assistant in Miami and Los Angeles before moving into visual effects as an artist. She has worked at studios such as ILM, Rhythm & Hues, CinesiteLA, and CIS-Hollywood before joining FuseFX in 2013. Her extensive credit list includes The Planet of the Apes, Armageddon, The Chronicles of Riddick, Poseidon, Fast and Furious, The Chronicles of Narnia, X-men, and The Mummy Returns. At FuseFX, Brigitte works closely with our creative partners and production crews to provide pre-production concept/design, planning, on-set visual effects supervision, and the final delivery of post visual effects. Her recent credits include 9-1-1 Lone Star, 9-1-1, and Empire.

Bud Myrick

Bud Myrick has been in the visual effects industry for over 25 years; he has worked as an art director, digital effects supervisor, visual effects supervisor, and director. Bud has supervised many shows at FuseFX, including Quibi's The Fugitive. As a CG Supervisor, Bud has worked on The Good Doctor, True Detective, Ozark, 13 Reasons Why, The Brave, Bull, and Angie Tribeca, among others. Bud joined FuseFX in 2016 to help lead the VR production unit and create imaginative and absorbing experiences. Myrick's VR experience includes Escape the Living Dead, which incorporated moving VR cameras and feature-quality visual effects. He also led the FuseVR team for Buzz Aldrin: Cycling Pathways to Mars, which played at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum. Before joining the FuseFX team, Myrick's career began with a 15-year tenure at Rhythm & Hues, where he contributed to visual effects for films such as Serenity, Men in Black II, X-Men 2 and Around the World in 80 Days. He then continued his career at DreamWorks Feature Animation, where he worked on the Prince of Egypt and was the 3D FX Supervisor for The Road to El Dorado.

Camara Edwards

Camara Edwards is a creatively driven VFX Producer based out of FuseFX New York. Although he may have taken an unconventional route into the VFX industry, Cam has stayed "10 toes down" ever since his first gig in the industry. With years of production experience in commercials, features, and episodic, Cam is no stranger to putting in long hours, rallying individuals towards a common goal, and moving with consideration for both the client and the artist. Most notably, Camara's positive outlook on life and diverse upbringing really brings a fresh perspective to the shows he works on. His first production assignment was as a VFX coordinator for Disney's Beauty & The Beast (the live-action film). After that project wrapped and broke box-office records, there was no looking back, so he decided to try his hand at commercials. He was earning himself commercial credits for some of the world's largest brands, such as Nike, Google, Microsoft, Exxon, Johnson & Johnson, PHARMA, LG, Clinique, and Visa, to name a few. Not to mention his role in features like Darren Aronofsky's Mother and Netflix's Triple Frontier as a production coordinator during his time at Method Studios. Becoming a father, Camara decided to switch gears and take on the challenge of being an episodic VFX producer right here at FuseFX. Since joining the team, he has produced on broadcast and streaming shows such as Apple TV+'s Helpsters, HBO's I Know This Much Is True, The Time Traveler's Wife, Netflix's Colin In Black & White, Fox's POSE, 9-1-1, and 9-1-1 Lonestar.

Dan Rucinski

As Vice President, FuseFX Global Operations at FuseFX, Dan Rucinski leads a department that oversees the management, tracking, and coordination of activity between all the company's facilities worldwide. In his role, Dan personally works closely with the creative & leadership teams in all FuseFX offices. Dan travels to each studio, ensuring close communication between FuseFX's various production teams. He also serves as a local representative for all Los Angeles-based projects completing work at distant locations, attending editorial sessions, meetings, and shot reviews, to add vital in-person presence to augment the global workforce experience for our clients. Since graduating from USC Film School, Dan has devoted his career to visual storytelling, working in various aspects of the film and television industry, including Story Development, Live-Action Production, and the Art Department. Dan got his start in visual effects at Foundation Imaging, where he served as CG producer on the groundbreaking animated series Roughnecks: The Starship Troopers Chronicles, as well as CG-animated series Max Steel and Dan Dare: Pilot of the Future. He later served as a VFX producer on the blockbuster feature Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow; the first film shot entirely on bluescreen. His background also includes roles with Walt Disney Animation Studios, Prana Studios, and Radium. As Executive Producer of Entity FX, he oversaw operations in Los Angeles and Vancouver for such television projects as Game of Thrones, The Vampire Diaries, and Breaking Bad, as well as feature films Herbie: Fully Loaded, I Am Number Four, and Riddick. Dan's varied experience positions him successfully in uniting all the FuseFX studios.

Danielle James

Danielle James is a VFX Producer at FuseFX's NY office. She has recently worked on episodic series such as HBO's The Plot Against America and The Deuce. After beginning her career in advertising and experiential, Danielle has nearly a decade's experience in visual effects and post-production, previously working with clients such as Johnnie Walker Blue, Lifetime, Visa, L'Oreal, Xfinity, Koio, Grand Marnier, and IBM. Along with her experience and a great eye for detail, Danielle brings a passion for creative collaboration with clients and artists.

David Altenau - CEO, Chairman, Founder

David Altenau is the original founder and CEO of FuseFX. Altenau has been in the visual effects industry for over 25 years and his work has garnered both Emmy and Visual Effects Society awards. A native of Ohio, Altenau began his career in San Francisco in 1989, becoming a pioneer in the field of computer animation and visual effects. He moved on to Editel where he focused on commercials and was head of the CG department, before moving to Los Angeles in 1996 to become a senior technical director for Warner Digital Studios. During his tenure there, he worked on such films as Mars Attacks, Eraser, and Batman & Robin. Altenau continued his career with both Pacific Title and Cinesite Studios, where he received an Emmy nomination for his work on From the Earth to the Moon and worked on such Hollywood blockbusters as X-Men, X-Men II, Thirteen Days, and Sixth Day. He then broadened his focus to become visual effects supervisor on such episodic productions as Carnivale, Deadwood, K-Ville, The Unit, Lie To Me, United States of Tara, and Criminal Minds. In 2006, Altenau founded FuseFX and began the process of creating one of the most successful and respected visual effects studios in the world. He has led the growth of FuseFX from start-up to more than 300 employees in three locations worldwide. Altenau's leadership and vision have enabled the extraordinary growth and success of the company. Today, Altenau continues to lead the management team and creative efforts, ensuring that FuseFX continues to provide the highest standard of visual effects and unparalleled service to the company's production partners and clients. Altenau holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from Purdue University. His personal motto, which is reflected in all the work that the FuseFX team generates, is "any job big or small, do it right, or not at all."

David Gidali

David Gidali is a visual effects supervisor at FuseFX and a feature film director. With over 12 years of experience supervising visual effects for indie features, TV promos, and commercials, David's latest projects include Alan Ball's Uncle Frank and Jordan Peele's Weird City. He also supervised promo campaigns for TV shows such as Narcos, The Crown, The Man in the High Castle, Krypton, and The Magicians. David started his career in the late nineties as a self-taught 3D animator while in high school; David's first professional animation gig was at age 20 as an enlisted soldier. Shortly after completing his service, he joined Snowball Studios, an animation boutique. He played an essential role in its growth and ability to undertake episodic work by developing its 3D pipeline and leading its first series as a CG supervisor. At age 25, he left the animation world and went to study film directing. He attended Sam Spiegel Film School in Jerusalem and moved to the US to continue his studies at AFI, graduating in 2011. A fan of science fiction, David directed several award-winning sci-fi shorts, a streaming series for the game developers of Pokémon Go, and a feature film. His latest short film, "Face Swap," which he co-directed with his wife, is the first narrative film to use the open-source 'deepfake' workflow in its VFX arsenal. David likes to stay on his toes and experiment with new filmmaking processes and techniques. He worked in immersive media, virtual production, and real-time workflows in the last couple of years.

Delane Leahy

Delane Leahy joined FuseFX in 2021 as an Associate Producer and is now a VFX Producer for many of its high-profile projects. Since joining the FuseFX team, she has produced projects, including American Horror Story, American Horror Stories, 9-1-1: Lonestar, and most recently, the feature Knock at the Cabin. She got her to start as a Production Assistant on the film, Patriots Day. Since then, Delane has worked on various Feature Films and Television shows in Boston & Los Angeles, including The Mandalorian, Vice, Bird Box, and The Orville. She has years of experience in both set and post-production production.

Eran Dinur

Eran is an Emmy and VES awards-winning VFX supervisor, author, and educator. His extensive on-set and in-house supervision experience include films such as The Trial of The Chicago 7, Uncut Gems, Ad Astra, The Lighthouse, Hereditary, The Greatest Showman, The Lost City of Z, The Wolf of Wall Street, and TV series such as The Men Who Built America and Boardwalk Empire, for which he received an Emmy award and two VES awards. Originally a musician who wrote music for theater, Eran turned his passion for VFX into a career that started at ILM Singapore, working as Senior Compositor on films such as Iron Man, Star Trek, Transformers, and Terminator Salvation. Since 2011, Eran served as Senior VFX Supervisor at Brainstorm Digital. Eran's book, The Filmmaker's Guide to Visual Effects was published in 2017 by Routledge/Focal and has since been adopted by film schools and colleges around the world. Eran created online VFX courses for fxphd, and wrote articles for magazines like 3D World and No Film School. He has been teaching visual effects at the School of Visual Arts since 2013. Eran joined FuseFX in 2020 as NYC Head of 2D/VFX Supervisor and oversees all the Compositors and Comp Supervisors at the NY facility.

Ezra Christian

Ezra Christian is a VFX Producer at FuseFX-NY with over ten years of experience in visual effects and post-producing. Ezra began his career at commercial post-production facilities before transitioning into visual effects. He has produced VFX for commercials, features, and episodic content. Since joining the team at Fuse FX New York, his recent work includes The Walking Dead, The Good Doctor, Tommy, The Enemy Within, The Last O.G., and On Becoming a God in Central Florida.

Frank Belina

Frank Belina is a VFX Supervisor at FuseFX with a diverse background that includes VFX feature and TV work, video game design, and art direction on high-profile games, along with illustration and graphic design for commercial agency work, and stained glass painting. Frank has been in the VFX community since 2005 and is a member of VES. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts, majoring in graphic design.

Greg Babiuk

Greg's previous experience includes roles as the Executive Producer at design and animation studio INTERspectacular, Producer at entertainment marketing agency Pittard Sullivan, and Director of VFX at production and post-production companies Filmworkers Club and R/GA. Greg started his career as an animation camera operator, a colorist, and an editor before combining these skills and becoming a VFX Supervisor. He is an Emmy nominated producer in the Main Title Design category, a current member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. He holds a BFA in Film & Television from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

James Emmerich

James Emmerich is a Visual Effects Supervisor at FuseFX's NY Office. He brings a wide breadth of experience to the role, having worked on episodic series such as HBO's The Deuce and The Plot against America, as well as independent features and music videos. With a background as a Flame Artist in NY's commercial world, he has a keen eye for detail and finesse that helps elevate every project. He started his career as a long-form online editor and colorist. He quickly found a love for visual effects by working at boutique studios around NYC and wearing many hats. On his journey, he won an Emmy in 2014 for his work with MTV Networks. James has worked with HBO Max, USA Network, Nickelodeon, L'Oreal, Garnier, Toyota, and Xfinity. Jason Fotter - CTO, Founder

Jason Fotter is a co-founder and chief technology officer (CTO) of FuseFX. With more than 20 years of experience, Fotter has a strong history in the visual effects industry, starting his career as an artist and then migrating to the technology side. He brings a unique perspective to the technological needs of FuseFX and has emerged as a leader in the industry, driving innovation in visual effects workflows. As CTO, Fotter's primary focus is to oversee the development of the Nucleus platform and the company's technical infrastructure. Developing a digitally robust, efficient, and secure creative hub for all projects in the facility remains his constant focus. His expertise and knowledge in the post-production and visual effects process have enabled FuseFX to develop the most efficient workflow in the business. Fotter is also well versed in cloud technology, and FuseFX has become an early adopter and leader in developing innovative cloud workflows. A talented visual effects artist and technologist, Fotter's career credits span commercials, episodic television, feature films, and music videos. He brings a wealth of knowledge and is always eager to learn and adopt new technologies that will keep FuseFX ahead of the curve and leading the charge in visual effects production.

Jason Piccioni

Jason Piccioni is a VES and Emmy Award-winning Visual Effects Supervisor who has been part of the FuseFX team since 2011. Since joining, he has supervised some of FuseFX's highest-profile television projects, including American Horror Story, American Crime Story, Barry, Snowfall, and Manhattan, as well as a wide variety of pilots and features. Most recently, Jason supervised the 2-year run of Castle Rock for Bad Robot and HULU. Prior to joining Fuse, Jason spent 20 years working in features, beginning his visual effects career in 1992 at Dream Quest Images, where he worked with the miniature department and the company's proprietary real-time motion control systems. Jason's feature credits include The Crow, The Mask, Mars Attacks!, Doctor Dolittle, X-Men 2, The Dukes of Hazzard, The Amazing Spider-Man, Alice in Wonderland, and Sinister. Jason has also directed 2nd units on multiple projects, including The Town that Dreaded Sundown, American Horror Story, Gang Related, and Castle Rock. Jason is a member of the Visual Effects Society, the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, and the Directors Guild of America. His broad range of experience gives him great depth to draw upon to implement creative, effective, story-driven solutions.

Jessica Sharp

Jessica Sharp is the Head of Production for the FuseFX Vancouver office. In this role, she partners with the Head of Studio & Executive Producer in production scheduling, employee management, and future planning. Prior to joining the team in 2019, Jessica worked in a wide array of specialties in the film industry over the last decade, from Live Action to 3D Conversion, Animation & now Visual Effects. A U.S. native, Jessica spent her youth in the southeastern U.S. Obtaining an M.F.A. from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco was her first taste of West Coast living. From there, her work with the TED conference shifted her focus south to Los Angeles, where she first dabbled with postproduction. This new focus took her on a global journey across studios in Los Angeles, Pune India, Toronto, and now Vancouver. While working globally, she's been credited on projects such as Star Wars: The Force Awakens & Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Avengers: Infinity War, Blade Runner: 2049, and most recently the Snowpiercer series with FuseFX. Jessica brings enthusiasm and solution-driven focus to all aspects of her role. She believes passionate, and engaged employees are the answer to a quality product, so she strives to put her employees first while balancing studio & client requirements. Joanna Lui

Joanna Lui joined the FuseFX Vancouver office in 2018. Since joining the team, Joanna's credits include Wendell & Wild, Raising Dion, A League of their Own, The Mighty Ducks, Away, Shadow and Bone, Debris, Them: Covenant, Amazing Stories, The Good Doctor, The Magicians, and The Terror. Joanna began her career in the VFX industry at Hydraulx in 2016, working on feature films such as Rampage, Baywatch, and Beyond Skyline. She also worked on Netflix projects, including Stranger Things (Emmy nominated for Outstanding Visual Effects), Lemony Snicket's: A Series of Unfortunate Events, and the adaptation of Death Note. Before working in VFX, Joanna had experience in casting, theatrical stage management, and had worked for the Vancouver Film School. Joanna has always had a passion for the film and TV industry and can't be more pleased to now play a significant role in post-production. John T. Miller

John T. Miller has over 20 years' experience in television and feature film production and post-production. With extensive creative and technical expertise, vision and natural leadership, Miller has successfully created and managed visual effects, graphics, and editorial departments at some of the leading post-production facilities in New York, and worked across a variety of formats, including broadcast, commercial, feature films, and episodic television. His work for FuseFX has included Mr. Robot (garnering him his first VES nomination), When They See Us, Iron Fist, Castle Rock, Tell Me A Story, and Sneaky Pete. John's additional credits include the main-on-end title sequence for Avengers: Age of Ultron and visual effects for Captain America: The Winter Soldier, as well as the documentary television series Battles BC. John began his career as a visual effects artist and motion graphics designer with New York post house Manhattan Transfer. John spent four years as Creative Director, Executive Producer and General Manager at Point 360, New York. In recent years, he has returned his focus to creative and artistic roles, where his ability to manage complex projects and communicate his understanding of design, story, and process ensures the highest level of client satisfaction.

Based in Los Angeles, Johnny Fisk is the President of FuseFX. Johnny oversees the organizational strategy and vision for FuseFX, including business development, new avenues for VFX technology, fostering client relationships, and studio expansion. Johnny brings over 20 years of experience to the table, from small start-up operations to large-scale global studios, having worked as an artist, manager, producer, and in executive positions across a broad scope of productions. In his career Johnny has held various executive ranks, most recently at Deluxe. Johnny was a critical part of the FuseFX executive team when completing the acquisition of Folks VFX in 2019 and Rising Sun Pictures in 2021, resulting in a combined ten studio locations across the three brands. He has also played a key role in guiding FuseFX's efforts in real-time VFX while staying engaged with people across all levels of the business. Fisk's career spans over two decades and includes a wide variety of production management and artistic roles. This experience has given him a unique perspective and solutions for his clients. Johnny has worked in multiple facets of entertainment, including Gaming, Visual Effects, 3D Conversion, and Animation. His clientele includes Disney, Sony, Microsoft, Universal, WB, Amblin, Dreamworks, and Fox.

Josh Galbincea

Josh has been in the industry for over 15 years and has a wide range of feature, commercial and episodic experience. He is a two-time Telly Award winner who joined FuseFX in 2018. Before joining FuseFX, he worked at Framestore, MPC, and Digital Domain Studios. Some of his extensive credits include Man of Steel, Alien: Covenant, Justice League, The Walking Dead, and Westworld. In 2021 Josh relocated to the FuseFX Atlanta office and had been a part of the in-house and on-set VFX Supervisors team. Josh loves making beautiful images to help with visual story-telling. He loves sci-fi and fantasy and has a huge passion for bringing the impossible to life. He also was recently voted into the Georgia VES Board of Managers at the beginning of 2022.
