Carol W. Beier

Ms. Beier received her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She graduated summa cum laude from Rutgers Law School - Newark in 1996 where she was an editor of the Women's Rights Law Reporter and was elected to the Order of the Coif. Ms. Beier specializes in trust and estate planning and administration.

Jonathan Herlands

Mr. Herlands received his undergraduate degree from Columbia University and his law degree from Columbia Law School, where he was designated a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. Mr. Herlands heads the firm's Trusts and Estates Department and lectures extensively on estate planning and administration. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Herlands chaired the Trusts and Estates Department at Herzfeld & Rubin, P.C. His clients encompass high net worth individuals and families in business, entertainment, sports, the arts, sciences and the professions. In addition to his professional endeavors, Mr. Herlands is a Director or Trustee of numerous charitable institutions, including several foundations.

Peter J. Vranum

Mr. Vranum received his undergraduate degree from Franklin & Marshall College and graduated cum laude in 1989 from New York Law School. Prior to joining the firm, he was associated with Harris Beach & Wilcox. Mr. Vranum specializes in commercial and intellectual property matters. He is a member of and previously served as a director of the Danish American Society. Mr. Vranum is also a member of the Danish American Chamber of Commerce.

William B. Randolph

Mr. Randolph graduated magna cum laude from New England School of Law where he was a member of the Law Review. After receiving his LL.M. in Taxation in 1976 from New York University Law School, Mr. Randolph served as a law clerk at the United States Tax Court in Washington, D.C. Mr. Randolph has extensive experience in the areas of tax litigation, tax and business planning, including mergers and acquisitions, and business transactions for entertainers. Prior to joining the firm he chaired the Tax Department of Herzfeld & Rubin, P.C. He currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Tax Section of the New York State Bar Association, and co-chairs the Section's Committee on New York City Tax Matters. Mr. Randolph is a frequent lecturer on tax issues.

William H. Cox

Mr. Cox obtained an MBA from Pace University in 1978, graduated from New York Law School in 1982 and received his LL.M. in Corporation Law from New York University Law School in 1994. Mr. Cox' expertise encompasses corporate and limited liability company matters, as well as all aspects of copyright and trademark work. His broad-based experience includes negotiating employment packages, structuring financing and acquisition transactions and advice on regulatory matters. Mr. Cox was formerly employed by a Fortune 100 Corporation where he worked on corporate acquisitions and dispositions. Prior to joining the firm, he was a partner at Herzfeld & Rubin, P.C. He also has extensive experience with respect to legal and regulatory matters concerning retailers and catalog merchants.
