As iDE Ghana's country director, Damba has 15 years of experience leading programs that promote sustainable solutions in the sectors of water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) and agriculture.
He currently oversees two social enterprise brands that support local WASH and agricultural value chains. Sama Sama is the leading provider of water and sanitation services in northern Ghana, while Korsung helps transform shareholder farmers into successful entrepreneurs.
Damba's focus areas include market-based solutions that target the rural poor, circular economies, sustainable agriculture, climate change resilience, household nutrition and health, and other programming that help build resilient market ecosystems.
He holds a master's degree in actuarial science from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology and has a strong background in statistics. Outside of work, Damba enjoys watching movies and football matches (cheering on FC Barcelona) with his family, and learning new and interesting things.

As iDE Ghana's MERL director, Hilda brings more than 10 years of experience in monitoring, evaluation, research and learning. Throughout her career, Hilda has consistently demonstrated courage in MERL-related programming, earning her a reputation for systems thinking, and innovative integration of monitoring systems and programs. In addition to her professional achievements, Hilda is also committed to creating an atmosphere that encourages women to engage in the fields they enjoy and thrive in. She believes in being humble and agile and actively contributes to the senior leadership of iDE Ghana to make a positive impact in WASH, agriculture and other related sectors. She previously worked as an advocacy and communication officer for Integrated Action for Community Development, a local nonprofit in Ghana, and a research assistant and editor of Innovations for Poverty Action in Ghana.

Bhagawan is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in finance, procurement, grants, HR, IT, and administration. He has held key roles such as Head of Finance and Administration at WWF Nepal, Director of Operations at DAI Global LLC, and Consultant for both the Red Panda Network and WWF Nepal. Bhagawan holds an MBA from Tribhuvan University and has led numerous projects in financial management, administrative oversight, human resources planning, procurement, and compliance. His career is characterized by a strong focus on enhancing operational efficiency and effectiveness. Bhagawan is eager to contribute his expertise to our mission, collaborate with the team, and continue learning from shared experiences. Outside of work, he enjoys sports, exploring nature, and connecting with new people.
Corey O'Hara is an agriculture and nutrition professional specializing in ethical sourcing and value creation for smallholder farmers. Corey received his PhD from Tufts University, where he researched the interactions between agricultural markets, diets, and gender and social inclusion. He also holds a master's degree in international environment and resource policy and a master's degree in agriculture, food, and the environment from Tufts, as well as a bachelor's degree (magna cum laude) from Harvard.
Before joining iDE, Corey worked in the U.S. Department of State as a Foreign Language Officer, then as a consultant for Winrock International. Corey later worked as Associate Director of the Clinton Global Initiative, and from 2008 to 2010, he founded and coordinated the Haiti Action Network, a multisector group of actors engaged in long-term development, recovery, and reconstruction efforts.
Corey first began consulting for iDE in 2006, providing significant support for creating partnerships in Nepal, Cambodia, and Bhutan. He assumed the role of Chief of Party for the Resilience Coastal Communities program in 2023, after serving as iDE's Country Director for Nepal. Corey serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Food and Nutrition Bulletin, a peer-reviewed academic journal focused on global nutrition and human security. Corey speaks Italian, Spanish, and French in addition to English and Nepali, and his Portuguese is improving day by day.

Deepak brings over a decade plus technical and leadership experience in designing and implementing projects in Nepal focused on private sector market development, access to financial services for low income clients and a wide variety of agriculture value chain strengthening initiatives. Deepak currently serves as vice president of Asia operations and was our country director for Bangladesh. In Bangladesh, Deepak led one of iDE's largest and most innovative portfolios, expanding iDE's work in WASH, nutrition, private sector engagement, and integrated gender programming. Prior to joining iDE, he worked in Nepal as the co-founder and CEO of a not-for-profit organization focused on improving livelihoods for people living in the rural and remote hill areas. He has led initiatives in the public health sector and social marketing with PSI, livelihoods engagement in post-conflict and emergency affected markets in Nepal through Practical Action and access to financial services in rural and remote mountains with Samriddha Pahad. He has an MBA in marketing from Kathmandu University's School of Management.

Dorcas joined the iDE Ghana in 2023, coming onboard with more than 20 years of experience in financial management, operations and administration, audit and assurance, project implementation, donor and regulatory compliance, working for both for-profit and non-profit organizations. As director of finance and operations, she run systems set-ups, improvements, assessments, reviews and re-engineering to foster operational excellence and efficiency. She also monitors the budget and ensures the office achieves its financial objectives. She is a professional accountant and holds an MBA in finance. She thrives in an environment that provides valuable opportunities for young professionals, fostering a continuous culture of learning. She likes to relax by listening to contemporary music and enjoys entertaining friends and family.
Doña Arlen Carolina Sanchez is driven to find solutions. When the rabbits ate her crops, she devised traps to catch them. When she was introduced to iDEal's drip irrigation system, she saw an opportunity to replace cumbersome watering methods with efficient water-saving technology. Her initiative and ability to produce enough food for her 32 family members earned her respect and decision-making power among her family. Now, she is eager to expand her leadership into the community-sharing her farming knowledge with other female farmers.

Ebenezer joined iDE Ghana in January 2016 and is currently responsible for overseeing all of Sama Sama's business operations, customer experience, and quality assurance. Ebenezer is a leader in innovation and product development through human centred design. Ebenezer has 14 years of extensive professional experience in business operations and development, project management, innovative design and product development, contract management and procurement, water supply and sanitation engineering, faecal sludge management (FSM) and modelling. He holds an MSc in Engineering and Management from Coventry University, UK, and is a Professional Civil Engineer with specialisation in water treatment and supply systems and environmental sanitation, accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology, Ghana. Ebenezer believes in the future of FSM commercialisation as a means to build a better world.

Eric brings over 25 years of experience in managing and implementing complex development programs and flagship institutions in Madagascar. Before joining iDE in 2024, he spent more than 15 years coordinating a successful World Bank-financed project aimed at boosting economic prosperity in selected regions by stimulating high-growth sectors such as agribusiness and tourism, and fostering entrepreneurship through private sector partnerships. He was the founding CEO of the Economic Development Board of Madagascar, a public institution dedicated to promoting and facilitating private investments in the country. Additionally, Eric led and served on the board of the Madagascar Biodiversity Fund, an innovative financing mechanism for protected areas in Madagascar. Having lived in France for about 18 years, Eric studied there before beginning his professional career in market research. He holds an MBA from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business. Outside of work, Eric is passionate about spirituality.
Fernando Milambo stands proudly in his abundant cabbage field. iDE began working with Fernando in 2013, providing knowledge and tools that helped him increase his vegetable production. Today, he is a Farm Business Advisor, helping other farmers grow their businesses.
Geoffrey is a results-driven market systems specialist and team leader with over 20 years of hands-on experience in designing and implementing inclusive market-led initiatives that address the needs of stakeholders in ensuring sustainable business models are enhanced. He has undertaken practical and extensive training on market systems approaches, integrating gender and youth into agricultural value chains, monitoring, learning and evaluation in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, and Bangladesh and is an accomplished trainer of trainers.
Prior to joining iDE, Geoffrey served in various capacities in the private and international NGO sectors where he led teams to develop strategic guidelines on private sector engagement, access to finance for smallholders and SMEs besides developing due diligence and capacity assessment tools for targeted capacity enhancement. He recently served as the Regional Technical Advisor for Agricultural Markets at CRS, Head of Market Engagement at Farm Africa, Regional Business Development Manager for SCOPEinsight, and Field Manager for Fintrac Inc. He's managed USAID projects in Kenya in addition to a series of consultancies on market systems approaches to empowering smallholder farmers. He currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Farm Africa Kenya.
Geoffrey is a certified champion for change (USAID Africa LEAD) and an accomplished program manager who has led teams to develop and implement cutting edge initiatives for inclusive agricultural development. He holds a PhD in Organizational Development Leadership Specializing in Business and Entrepreneurship (Pan Africa Christian University) and holds a Master of Business Administration specializing in Project Planning and Management (Bugema University) and a BSc. Horticulture (Egerton University).
Goshu has more than 20 years of experience working on development and emergency projects, specializing in food security, livelihoods, agriculture, and nutrition. He has worked with a number of international nonprofits including Save the Children International, GIZ, Child Fund International, and Project Concern International. Goshu says he is committed to serving people living in marginalized, low income areas, working to improve food and nutritional security. He has a masters on food security from Addis Ababa University and masters on social work from Indira Gandhi National Open University.

Halima is an accomplished finance professional with more than 13 years of experience in the development sector. She brings strong skills in leadership and financial management with an emphasis on strategy planning, budgeting, fiscal monitoring, and donor and statutory compliance. On the organizational governance side, Halima is experienced in policy formation and development. Before joining iDE, she was with Terre des hommes as regional finance, admin and compliance manager supervising activities in Bangladesh, Myanmar, Nepal, and India. Halima has a master's in accounting and has completed courses in chartered accountancy.

Hannah (HB) Moorhouse joined iDE Global in March 2023, driven by her passion for creating sustainable change through strategic philanthropic partnerships. Prior to joining iDE, she earned an MBA and spent three years in marketing and development, where she focused on donor acquisition and stewardship. As Senior Manager of Fund Development, HB works closely with foundations, corporations, and individuals to build impactful partnerships that improve lives globally. She is committed to fostering relationships that strengthen financial support for innovative programs and empower local communities to thrive.

Horácio is iDE Mozambique's program's director for market systems and private sector engagement. He has some 14 years of experience working on development projects with a strong focus on agriculture and livelihoods, food security, rural development, and market systems development. Horácio began his career as a district coordinator, supporting the USAID-funded Osanzaya Program, dedicated to promoting food security in Mozambique's Zambezia Province. Later, he was Mozambique's national coordinator for the Partnership for Investment and Growth in Africa under the International Trade Center. He was also head of domain for Switzerland's Income & Economic Development unit which included $30 million worth of projects across Mozambique. Fluent in both English and Portuguese, Horácio holds a master's degree in development practice.

Isabel brings more than two decades of financial, administrative and leadership experience, managing programs across Mozambique, ensuring compliance with rules and regulations in the implementation of projects from a diverse group of donors. She has also provided guidance, monitoring, and oversight to financial, administrative, human resources, procurement and programming teams. Prior to joining iDE, Isabel served as deputy chief of party for Africa Global Logistics/USAID Commodities for Health. She has also served in senior operations and finance roles for Chemonics International, Jhpiego, WSUP and Project HOPE. Isabel has an honors degree in legal sciences and an MBA from the University of Liverpool, in the UK.

Seeking a way to put food on her family's table, Doña Julia joined a women's farm group through her fair-trade coffee cooperative, Cabripel. With training from iDE, the women's farm group learned to diversify their crops and employ sustainable water management techniques, such as rainwater harvesting and drip irrigation.
Doña Julia's first harvest produced a plethora of cucumbers for her family and neighbors. After the success of her first harvest, she is now growing beans, corn, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, cabbage, and lettuce
Installing drip irrigation on her farm has allowed her to save time, money, and precious water. Through the women's group, Doña Julia is able to help other farmers increase their food security and survive both the "thin months" and the coffee rust.

Keisha Gani is responsible for leading the newly integrated SHE team at iDE, which focuses on designing and delivering gender-sensitive and culturally tailored entrepreneurship support programs. Originally from Sri Lanka, Keisha has been working in the development sector in Cambodia for more than 5 years in addition to leading the SHE team for the last 2.5 years. Keisha is passionate about building a gender-inclusive ecosystem where women-led and family-run businesses have equitable access to the opportunities, knowledge, services, and funding they need to scale their business.
Prior to her work with SHE, Keisha was the Development Director of a local NGO in Siem Reap called Journeys Within Our Community, which focused on youth leadership and engagement. In her free time, you will find Keisha curled up on her sofa reading topics on feminism or fiction, or crocheting with her cats. Alternatively, you can find her dancing salsa on the dance floor.
As iDE's country director in Cambodia, Kevin brings a deep understanding of market systems, agriculture, WASH, and entrepreneurship. As well as Cambodia, he has worked in Bangladesh, Indonesia, and Uganda building organizations, managing projects, developing business, providing technical assistance and conducting research. Kevin is no stranger to iDE. He previously worked for our Bangladesh office, first as a graduate student intern and then returning as a technical expert and deputy project manager, later taking on the role of director of programs. For the last four and a half years, Kevin has served as the deputy country director for Swisscontact in Cambodia and is proud to have co-created and led the USAID RISE project which serves as a technical assistance platform for impact businesses and investors in Southeast Asia. Before international development, Kevin worked for a trade union in the USA, leading campaigns and building capacity for colleagues and workers. He's also worked in the food industry, including farms and restaurants. In his spare time, he enjoys running, yoga, and cooking. Khong Sophoan has been the manager and director of the Cambodia Agribusiness Development Facility (CADF) program of iDE Cambodia for almost 14 years (since 2010), implementing agricultural projects primarily in horticulture and pig value chain strengthening.

Ly Saroeun has been with iDE Cambodia for over 13 years, where he played a crucial role in program management as Deputy Program Director of the Sanitation Marketing Scale-Up (SMSU) program from 2011 to 2022. He successfully started and scaled the SMSU program across seven provinces in Cambodia, utilizing a participatory program management and leadership style. His expertise and experiences have established the provincial office, staff recruitment, sales management training and coaching as on-the-job-training for the first two years of the program. He has also built program networks with public and private sectors as part of the government relationship, collaboration, and organizational promotion. Ly also managed provincial staff to engage local entrepreneurs to start-up their latrine business through the public forum, business training and coaching prior to implementation. Since January 2023, Ly has served as the Head of Strategic Partnerships, where he has enhanced relationships and collaboration with the public sector to ensure iDE's programs in Cambodia positively impact rural communities' livelihoods and sanitation.
With over 39 years of professional experience in community development, Ly is skilled in organizational management and program cycle management. He has spent over 13 years with iDE, focusing on sales management, and previously served as the Managing Director of Cambodia Researcher for Development (CRD), a social NGO. He has also worked as a consultant for local and international organizations and UN agencies. Earlier in his career, Ly worked as a chief of surgery and surgeon with American Refugee Committee (ARC), International Rescue Committee (IRC), and Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF).
During free time, Ly enjoys spending time with his grandchildren, watching international breaking news, social media, daily meditation, morning walking exercises and working in his home garden.

Michael has over 20 years of experience in International Development. His early work in humanitarian response opened his eyes to the interconnectedness of ecosystem health, agricultural livelihoods, inclusive markets, and community well-being. This realization led him to focus on regenerative agriculture and circular economies, which offer social, economic, and environmental benefits.
Starting his career in the private sector in the US, Michael moved to Africa in 2008, living and working in Botswana, Ethiopia, Jordan, Kenya, South Sudan, and Uganda, while also supporting programs in additional countries such as Bangladesh, Chad, China, Mali, Nicaragua, Nigeria, and Somalia. Over 15 years of experience living and working abroad has given him a deep understanding of the field, enabling him to support iDE programs with an appreciation for the complexities at the project level. He has led projects in partnership with a wide range of donors, including the EU, European governments, the Green Climate Fund, USAID, UKAID, and the United Nations.
Before joining iDE, Michael had long been a collaborator, including as a peer implementing the BRACED Program (Building Resilience and Adaptation to Climate Extremes and Disasters) and as Chief of Party for RIPA South in Ethiopia (Resilience in Pastoral Areas). His connection to iDE dates back even further to his master's thesis in 2008, which was largely based on the theories in Paul Polak's book "Out of Poverty."
Michael holds a BSBA (Bachelor of Science in Business Administration), an MBA (Master of Business Administration), and an MA in International Relations, all from Boston University. His passions include farming, nature, and spending time with his family.

Mr. Chhay Kong has been the Finance Director at iDE Cambodia since January 2020, bringing over 30 years of experience in administration and finance, with more than 20 years in senior management roles.
He began his career at KruoSar Thmey orphanage (1990-1992), then went on to work for UNTAC (1992-1993), and Handicap International (1994-2002). In 2002, he joined the National Democratic Institute (NDI) Cambodia, becoming the Administrative and Finance Manager. He later held positions at VBNK and Transparency International Cambodia, where he managed USAID's grant for the Women Empowerment and Youth Leadership Program. Kong holds a Diploma in Accounting, a Bachelor's in Accounting and Finance, and a Master's in Public Administration. He has certifications from the Corporate Finance Institute (CFI) in FMVA, BIDA, CMSA, and CBCA. Currently, he represents iDE with the Cooperation Committee for Cambodia (CCC) and participates in the Finance Taxation Working Group with the Accounting and Auditing Regulator (ACAR).
