Born September 14, 1947 , in New York City. Received a Bachelor of Arts in Government, with minors in Religion and Art History in 1969, and a Master's in International Affairs, in 1971, from Florida State University, where he spent one year studying in Florence, Italy. After graduation he worked for Scripps Howard Newspapers, and then attended and graduated from Nova Southeastern University in 1977 (having attended Summer Law School sessions at the University of Denver and the University of Miami, respectively). Admitted to the Florida Bar in June 1977, he has practiced continuously since. Previous associations have been with Stuart and Walker in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida (1977-79), Sheldon Daley and McGowan, Tampa-St. Petersburg, Florida (1983-85), and Rahdert, Anderson, McGowan and Steele, St. Petersburg Florida (1990-2001), and in solo practice since November 1, 2001 St. Petersburg.
