AARON DARVILL-JACKSON

Aaron joined Tasman Oil Tools New Zealand as Service Technician in December 2007. He has over 10 years' oil, gas and geothermal experience primarily in downhole drilling rental tools and accessories, fishing and workover tools, as well as a vast range of agency equipment. Having the opportunity to work on customer sites has given Aaron a great understanding of meeting client requirements and how to deliver best results. In March 2012, Aaron then took over as Service Manager with the focus on day to day customer and yard requirements. He is now Operations Manager since March 2019.

ALAN BAILEY

Alan Bailey joined the Tasman Oil Tools team in early 2020 as the East Coast Territory Manager in Brisbane, Australia. Alan started his career in 2011 as a Technical Sales Engineer and quickly moved into Business Development role, looking after clients across East and Central Australia, New Zealand and PNG. With over 9 years in the oil and gas industry Alan has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in downhole drilling tools, coring, MWD/RSS and drill bits allowing him the ability to understand drilling applications and work closely with clients in finding them suitable solutions for their operations.

DAVID JOHNSON

  • QHSE Manager - Australia & New Zealand
David joined Tasman Oil Tools as QHSE Manager in 2023. He is an accomplished QHSE professional with over 25 years' experience, as well as an assessor and investigator offering extensive industrial expertise providing Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) and Quality management services, predominantly working in the oil and gas industry. He holds qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety, Quality, Risk Management, Investigation, and Supervision, along with the high level of management of QHSE principles and implementation, and the recommendation of appropriate actions in high risk remote environments reporting directly to Directors and VPs of an international company. He possesses certifications in health, safety, training, assessment, and security. His wealth of experience encompasses project management and governance, audits, investigation, inspection, and the training and development of teams. JAMES WAMP

James Wamp (aka JJ) has over 20 years of work experience as a drilling supervisor and engineer he has extensive knowledge of drilling, completions and workovers in leading US shale gas operations in North Dakota and South Texas. He has worked for industry leaders such as Schlumberger Wireline, Nabors Drilling, Chevron and Cobalt International Energy. JJ has also worked for McKinsey & Company as a subject matter expert consulting globally in their Energy practice. JJ is known to clients for his strong ability to provide robust recommendations to match operational and budgetary needs and his ability to quickly solve issues that may be brought to his attention. JJ's long experience on the oilfield means that clients and business partners value and trust the advice he gives.

JASON ARNALL

Jason Arnall joined Tasman Oil Tools as Rental Coordinator in 2009, progressing to Rental Supervisor in 2011, Operations Manager in 2012 and finally General Manager in 2016. Jason has 9 years' experience in the Oil & Gas industry, spanning both office based operations coordination / management positions and technical field services. With strong technical and business management experience in Australia, and international field experience (West Africa, Asia Pac, UK), Jason has an in-depth knowledge of all Tasman Oil Tools product offerings, as well as other related well servicing equipment, enabling him to efficiently and effectively meet the local market's needs.

John Ross

has 10 years extensive experience in the service department within Tasman Oil Tools, Perth. Initially, John started with Tasman Oil Tools in a service technician role - specific areas of proficiency include: HT400 pumps, safety valves & pressure testing. John's dedication & commitment to retaining workshop safety, quality assurance & client satisfaction, enabled John to progress to Service Manager. John brings with him 20 years servicing experience gained in the mining industry across WA, specializing in drill rig servicing and maintenance.

RACHEL EIFFE

Rachel Eiffe has a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) and joined Tasman Oil Tools New Zealand in April 2005 in the role of Finance Manager. She has been instrumental in developing effective and efficient systems to maintain the financial affairs of the company and brings over 20 years financial experience to Tasman. In April 2018, she was appointed Finance Manager of Tasman Oil Tools Australia and combines both roles whilst still being based in New Zealand. Prior to joining the team, she held positions in several Chartered Accounting practices in both Australia and New Zealand.

Rick Montemayor

Rick Montemayor joined the Tasman Oil Tools team in 2022 as the Operations Manager in Perth, Western Australia. Rick's oil & gas career started as a completions supervisor before moving onto fishing/intervention discipline across the Australasia and Southeast Asia theatres. Serving as Business Unit Manager and then Country Manager for various fishing business entities in Australia. Rick has experience in large scale intervention projects with most recently serving as lead focal point for many offshore plug & abandonment campaigns. Utilizing a solutions-based approach to fishing and intervention operations, Rick has gained the trust of Australasia's biggest energy sector companies for providing measurable results.

Steve Edwards

Steve Edwards joined Tasman Oil Tools Australia as Sales and Account Manager in October 2019. Steve has 30 years' Oil & Gas service company industry experience in Directional Drilling, MWD/LWD and wellbore construction and intervention services, operations management, business development, and account management. Steve holds a Bachelor in Geology, and a Master of Business Administration from University of Western Australia. He has experience with operations in the North Sea, West Shetland Basin, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea.

Tim Irvine

Tim Irvine serves as General Manager of Tasman Oil Tools, New Zealand based in the North Island city of New Plymouth. Tim joined Tasman Oil Tools in 2005 and has over thirty year's industry experience predominantly working in New Zealand and Australia and has also had short term roles in China, Singapore and the US. His previous operational and managerial roles have given him experience in oil field inspection, machine shop QA/QC, tubular running services and down hole rental equipment. Tim's motivation is customer service and his desire to see Tasman Oil Tools grow into something much greater than it is now.
