April Jacobsen

April Jacobsen has been providing vocational rehabilitation services with Achieve Consulting Team, Inc. since January of 2013. April is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), a Certified Disability Management Specialist (CDMS), and a PGAP Consultant. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from The Evergreen State College with an emphasis in psychology, and a Master's Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Western Washington University. April volunteered her time with the Habitat for Humanity chapters for approximately three years where she served on multiple committees and assisted on-site in building homes. Additionally, April provides case management, vocational rehabilitation, detailed Job Analyses, Eligibility Evaluations, and labor market research. April is available to provide services to all of Western Washington; primarily in the city of Olympia and surrounding areas such as Tacoma, Seattle, and Bremerton.

Gabe North

Gabe joined Achieve Consulting team in 2020 as a Vocational Intern. He graduated from the Evergreen State College in 2018 where he earned a Bachelor of Arts with a focus on Business Management. Gabe has previously worked within the restaurant industry as a pastry chef and as operations manager on a mobile food truck. One of his greatest passions is teaching and helping others develop new life changing skills

Jeff Cockrum

Mr. Cockrum is a vocational rehabilitation counselor, vocational expert, and Certified Life Care Planner with 20 years of experience as a vocational rehabilitation counselor. His clients have included members of the military transitioning to the civilian workplace, industrially injured workers, personal injury clients, and private citizens in need of vocational rehabilitation. His clients have had a variety of needs and his support has included rehabilitation counseling for people with mental health, orthopedic, degenerative, and neurological conditions. His services include vocational testing, occupational research, job placement, job analysis development under contract with a variety of employers in the local area, and expert testimony. His testimony experience includes at the Board of Industrial Injury Appeals (BIIA) and Superior Court. Mr. Cockrum graduated from George Washington University with a Master's Degree in rehabilitation counseling in 2014. He is certified as a Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), Disability Management Specialist (CDMS), and Life-Care Planner (CLCP). Mr. Cockrum also attended the Seattle University School of Law and graduated, with honors, in 2009. He served on the Seattle University Law Review as a Research and Technical Editor. He is a licensed attorney, having passed the bar exam in 2010. Mr. Cockrum also completed 120 hours of post-graduate education with FIG as a life-care planner. Finally, Mr. Cockrum is a member of the consulting faculty at Thomas Jefferson University. His teaching focuses on the legal aspects of the life-care planning as part of the school's post-graduate life-care planning training program.

Jessica Frierson

Jessica grew up on the Oregon coast and attended Oregon State University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies. She has a wide range of work experience; she was a Certified Nursing Assistant doing in-home care for seniors, a Pilates instructor specializing in rehabilitation with the Reformer machine, a Youth Project Coordinator for the Partnership Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse, and she has been in both the banking and insurance industries. She joined Achieve Consulting Team in 2018, and has since learned a lot about the life-changing work of a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor, and is excited about pursuing that path. Across all of her work and life experiences, her greatest joy comes from helping others. She is eager to lend a hand where she can and to support those around her. She is looking forward to continuing this passion in her role with ACT.

Lloyd Tommila

Lloyd joined Achieve Consulting Team in October of 2013 as a Vocational Intern and became a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor in March of 2014. He is a graduate of Portland State University, with a Master of Science in Conflict Resolution. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Western Washington University and studied Sociology, with an emphasis on workplace and organizations. Lloyd's education has emphasized cultural competency and social inequality, and he is keenly sensitive to clients in this regard. Lloyd has a well rounded work experience including non-profit, public and private sector, and ten years working in the construction trades. This makes Lloyd particularly adept at completing job analyses and labor market research. Lloyd is relatable and insightful when interacting with injured workers. He received advanced training in conflict analysis, mediation and negotiation while completing his graduate studies. Lloyd has facilitated hundreds of mediations, including: workplace, marriage dissolution, associations, neighbors, victim/offender, multi-party, small claims, and between state agencies and their service clients. Lloyd has served as a Senior Mediator for the Dispute Resolution Center of Thurston County since 2005. In addition to delivering professional mediation services, Lloyd has experience with conflict resolution training, group facilitation, community dialogue events and process improvement.
