J. Carlito M. Montenegro is a graduate of the Ateneo de Manila University School of Law, earning his Juris Doctor Degree in 1999. He was admitted to the bar in May 2000... While studying, Atty. Montenegro worked at the Court of Appeals. In 1999 he joined the Tax Division of Sycip Gorres Velayo & Co., where he developed his proficiency in tax law... Atty. Montenegro is currently the managing partner of the Firm. His practice mainly focuses on taxation, which includes tax advisory, tax-refund cases, defense of tax assessments cases, settlement of estate taxes, family and wealth planning and general concerns of corporate taxation. He is also active in litigation of tax cases before the Court of Tax Appeals (CTA), CTA En Banc and Supreme Court.
