Alex Krutsky pursued the fine art of custom woodworking for over 30 years, working closely with clients to produce unique museum-quality furniture. Familiar with traditional and early American styles such as William and Mary, Queen Anne, Chippendale, Federal, and Empire, his favorite was the Arts Crafts period of the early 1900s... Alex particularly enjoyed working with diverse, complex and distinctive woods such as elm burl, Birdseye maple, and African fiddleback mahogany. Working closely with each client, he selected wood that resulted in spectacular patterns, providing a rewarding visual experience. Alex's craftsmanship was apparent in his inlay work, which often included string inlays, an extremely simple, graceful and delicate design that is exceedingly difficult to produce. Many people said these are the most beautiful inlays they have ever seen.
