BALHOUSIE DENTAL - Key Persons
Alice graduated with a BDS with Honours from Dundee Dental School in 2006.
Following her training, she started her career at Balhousie Dental before moving to the Restorative Department at Dundee Dental Hospital. Here she treated patients referred from general practice and gained experience in complex root treatments and whole mouth reconstruction. Alice then moved to the Community Dental Service, treating the dental phobic, special needs and young patients, including work under sedation and General Anaesthesia.
In 2008, Alice was asked back to Balhousie Dental and she has never looked back. Alice enjoys building a rapport with patients and ensuring that the dental visit is the best it can be. She uses skills from her varied career to enhance the quality and variety of treatments that she provides.
Aneta recently joined Balhousie Dental and is doing really well as our new Trainee Dental Nurse.
She is picking up the necessary skills and will sit her exam for her qualification when she is ready.
Carrie is a very experienced and capable Dental Nurse. She came to Balhousie Dental in 2021 and is a great addition to our team.
Carrie uses her years of experience to run the clinics effectively and efficiently. She helps train new staff members and oversees the day to day running of the practice on a clinical level.
Dianne started in 2002 and is known by all of our patients. She is our front of house and makes patients feel welcome. Dianne provides a valuable service at Balhousie Dental with the work that she carries out and by providing continuity for patients when they come for their appointments.
Gail qualified from Edinburgh Dental Hospital and School in 1997 with a CEB Dip Dent Hygiene.
She has been with Balhousie Dental since 1997 and performs a valuable service by helping patients with their gum health. Gums are the foundations to the teeth, and so it is vital that they stay healthy.
Gail works very closely with the dentists to provide a bespoke service for each patient. This service is on a private basis and is extremely popular so book in advance!
James joined our team at the start of 2022 and has enjoyed getting to know his patients, building good rapport and trust.
He works Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
James enjoys all aspects of Dentistry. He offers up-to-date clinical knowledge and a fresh enthusiasm to his work.
He likes to sail in his free time and enjoys setting off at the weekend in his campervan!
Kerry is our most experienced Dental Nurse. She came to Balhousie Dental in 2018 and is an asset to the team.
With years of valuable experience, Kerry has now taken a step back from clinical work to oversee the smooth running of the practice.
