The BC Career Colleges Association was established in 1977 to promote and support post secondary schools, stakeholders, students and all interested parties involved in private post-secondary education and training in BC. The aim is to ensure that the private education and training industry is recognized for the high level of service delivery, commitment to quality, and student satisfaction that the sector delivers to the consumers. With a shortage of skilled workers in B.C., and inadequate capacity in the public post-secondary system, private institutions are a vital part of the education and training environment in this province... We expect to promote consistency, accountability and excellence in the private post-secondary education and training industry. To further this larger goal, we co-ordinate and disseminate information on topics relevant to our members - through seminars and meetings as well as our annual conference.The association is also a communications and advocacy..
