Prior to joining Price Benowitz LLP, Courtney began her professional career as a legal assistant with the Appellate Division of the South Carolina Commission on Indigent Defense. Courtney is involved in each case from beginning to end. She assists clients by maintaining regular contact and updates, maintaining calendars and deadlines, and drafting letters and filings. She also maintains all client case files and assists in preparing for hearings and trials. A true native of Lexington, Courtney enjoys weekends on Lake Murray, traveling, college football, and spending time with family and friends.

Dayne Phillips is a graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Law, the National Criminal Defense College, and the National Forensic College. He has experience successfully defending the accused by receiving numerous not guilty verdicts in felony jury trials, as well as successfully arguing before the South Carolina Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of South Carolina. In law school, Dayne worked as a law clerk for John Delgado-a prominent criminal defense and death penalty defense attorney. After assisting Delgado in several murder trials and high-profile cases, criminal defense quickly became his life's calling. This incredible experience made him passionate about challenging the government and defending the underdog. In short, he learned the true meaning of zealous advocacy from his mentor and is forever grateful for Delgado teaching him to how "fight the good fight" in every case. Mr. Phillips is a proud native of South Carolina. Born and raised in Lexington County, he graduated from Airport High School in 2003 and the University of South Carolina in 2007. He then earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2010. The three pillars of Dayne's life are his family, friends, and faith. Dayne grew up in Pine Ridge where his family taught him work ethic and unconditional love. His amazing wife is a public school teacher and is a two-time Teacher of the Year for her school, and District Teacher of the Year. His spunky daughter keeps him on his toes and is the greatest thing to ever happened to him. He is also blessed with incredibly supportive parents and in-laws who are the cornerstone of his family. Dayne Phillips began his professional career as an Assistant Appellate Defender in the Appellate Division of the South Carolina Commission on Indigent Defense (SCCID). He managed a large and diverse caseload that included convictions for murder, drug trafficking, burglary, and felony DUI. Notably, he has obtained numerous reversals on appeal for his clients and has successfully argued to create laws that protect the rights of South Carolina citizens. Mr. Phillips then joined the Eleventh Circuit Public Defender's Office as an Assistant Public Defender, where he defended all types of felony and misdemeanor offenses, including-but not limited to-Murder, Attempted Murder, Burglary, Armed Robbery, Drug Trafficking, Criminal Sexual Conduct, Domestic Violence, and DUIs.

When Jamie first started practicing criminal defense, many of her acquaintances would question her career choice. They would constantly ask her, "how are you able to defend the accused?" Jamie never grew tired of repeating her answer, "my job is to help protect people's constitutional rights, and I am proud of it." From a traffic offense to a violent felony, Jamie wholeheartedly believes in diligently and zealously advocating for every client as she genuinely values the importance of her clients' representation goals and concerns. One thing Jamie's clients can depend on is her strong attention to detail. Whether she is spending hours fine-tooth combing through body worn camera footage, reviewing and analyzing multiple witness statements and other relevant discovery, or personally inspecting alleged incident locations, the keen observation skills that Jamie brings to each of her cases have allowed her to excel as a criminal defense attorney. While Jamie can never guarantee a specific result as each case is different, she does always promise to put her best foot forward in order to achieve the most favorable outcome for every client. Experience & Background Jamie E. Wilson, Esquire, is a licensed attorney in South Carolina. She is an experienced lawyer who has worked in different legal fields, including criminal defense, labor and employment law, family law, and ethics. Jamie obtained her Juris Doctor with a Children's Law Concentration from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2017. During law school, Jamie gained practical trial preparation and courtroom experience through her participation in the Criminal Practice and Child Protection Advocacy clinics and the Richland County CASA Volunteer Guardian ad Litem Program. She mentored middle school students as a part of the USC Constitutional Scholars Pipeline Program and was also a member of the Black Law Students Association (BLSA). During the summer, Jamie would travel back to her hometown of Saint Stephen, SC, to offer volunteer tutoring services to the community's youth. Jamie earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Intercultural Studies for Business with a focus on Spanish from Wofford College in 2009, where she received the "Heart of a Terrier" Leadership Award and was a Gibbs Scholar as part of the Success Initiative Program. She also founded and served as president of Wofford College's first step team. Prior to joining Price Benowitz LLP, Jamie worked at the SC Supreme Court Office of Disciplinary Counsel, where she investigated and prosecuted complaints against lawyers and judges in accordance with the applicable rules of professional and judicial conduct. Before joining the Office of Disciplinary Counsel, she worked as an attorney at the Richland County Public Defender's Office. There, she managed over 300 active criminal cases and provided legal representation, consultation, and advice to indigent clients. She prepared legal defenses by conducting legal research, gathering facts, and interviewing clients and witnesses. She also negotiated plea bargains with opposing counsel and appeared as first, second, and third chair for motion hearings, probation revocations, trials, and sentencing. Although Jamie knew that she would become a lawyer since the young age of 10 years old, she did not follow a traditional legal career path. Before starting her legal career, Jamie worked as a flight attendant at ExpressJet Airlines and as a teacher at Boothville-Venice Elementary School, where she implemented the Louisiana Comprehensive Curriculum in 5th/6th Grade Math and Social Studies. Jamie's life experiences have shaped her into an overall well-rounded person, equipping her with the ability to effectively serve and advocate for the public. When Jamie is not working, she can be found fellowshipping with the members of The Brook, reviewing and discussing national criminal and civil matters with YouTube's legal community, competitively racing her siblings in Nike Run Club App challenges solely for bragging rights, appreciating the dynamic creative and artistic nature of Battle Rap, attempting a multitude of DIY projects, or exercising her rights as a foodie.
