MCGUFFEE POLLED HEREFORDS is located in Mendenhall, Mississippi. This family owned and operated Polled Hereford breeding establishment began more than 37 years ago, like many modern day herds as a junior project. When Walker's Great Granddaddy, Earl, and Granddaddy, Joe, went to a Hereford dispersal as commercial cattlemen to purchase bulls and came home with a registered cow, that in 1977, gave birth to our first registered Polled Hereford calf. This calf, named "Sunshine" became Ryan's first 4H project, and produced seven calves that Kim and Ryan would show over the years... MCGUFFEE POLLED HEREFORDS has transitioned over the years, and in 2002, we made the decision to continue to breed 150 cows to Polled Hereford bulls, without registering the calves.
