Toma Alario, born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, spent the first decade of her career as a loan originator in the financial industry and residential sales agent working directly for builders in southern Louisiana. Upon moving to Anchorage in 1980, she worked in mortgage banking for several financial institutions. Utilizing her banking and real estate experience and knowledge, she opened her own business in the Anchorage/Eagle River area assisting contractors, real estate agents, and banks in successfully closing loans. She continued her business upon her move to Juneau in 1984. With the economic downturn following the collapse in oil prices in the mid-1980s she was hired by MGIC to assist in the marketing of foreclosed properties throughout Alaska. With Alaska's recovery, she joined Alaska Airlines and retired as Manager, Station Operations in 2009. As VP Operations for Carlton Smith Commercial, Toma's statewide experience in mortgage banking and real estate adds value and enhances service to our clients.
