Alexandra Hoffer

Dr. Hoffer joined Total ENT Care in June 2017. She holds her Doctorate in Audiology from Towson University and she earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Hearing, Speech, and Language Sciences from Ohio University. Dr. Hoffer completed her fourth year externship at The Hearing and Speech Agency, a non profit organization providing hearing and speech services to individuals in Baltimore. Dr. Hoffer provides comprehensive services for patients with hearing and balance disorders. Dr. Hoffer lives in Baltimore with her husband. She enjoys going to spin class, trying out new restaurants around town, and spending time with her friends and family

Alpen Patel

Dr. Alpen Patel joined Total ENT Care in December 2019. He attended Tulane University and Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, where he obtained his M.D. with honors. Dr. Patel completed his residency in otolaryngology/head and neck surgery at the University of Minnesota Hospitals in Minneapolis-St. Paul. In 2002, he joined the faculty at George Washington University and the Emory University Department of Otolaryngology in 2006. Dr. Patel then joined the Mid-Atlantic Kaiser Permanente Medical Group in 2009 serving as a physician mentor to several staff physicians, and as a medical director for the organization as the lead physician for hospital utilization. He is board-certified in otolaryngology as well as sleep medicine, a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a past president of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy. Dr. Patel is also named as a Top Doctor by Baltimore Magazine. Dr. Patel and his wife have two sons and a dog. His interests include travel, music, and sports, especially the Ravens.

Han G. Sohn

Dr. Sohn received his Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from the University of California, Los Angeles. He graduated with honors from the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, where he also completed an internship and his residency. Dr. Sohn, who served as the chief resident at SUNY Downstate, also won first place in the 2001 Resident Research Prize Competition sponsored by the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Foundation. He has conducted research in the area of snoring and apnea, especially in children. He was one of the first doctors to perform in-office balloon sinuplasty and is one of the most experienced at the technique in the Baltimore area. Dr. Sohn has been practicing in the Baltimore region since 2001 and was named as a Top Doctor in Baltimore Magazine. He lives in Harford County with his wife, his three kids and too many animals. His hobbies include tag teaming with his wife to shuttle their kids to their endless sports obligations and is proud of their no-child-left on-the-field metric.
